DAY 1

60 squats down and 40 to go before bed

I’m doing the 100 squats per day challenge this August and looking for sponsors to raise much needed funds for Cancer Research UK.

Cancer has had a profound effect on our family since my dad John Jones was diagnosed with prostrate cancer 18 years ago and is still living with it today. He’s more recently been diagnosed with metastatic cancer. He’s been through chemotherapy, radiotherapy and has ongoing treatment to keep him healthy.

We’ve suffered family losses over recent years and had family go through treatment and smash it at life. We also have close friends who are currently going through treatment so this months challenge is for all of them. It’s my way of helping to make a difference and hopefully get a little fitter along the way myself.

The fact that he’s here fighting (and fitter than most of us out together) is not only down to his amazing outlook on life and his zest for living but to the research that goes into finding a cure of this terrible disease.
