Why did I do this you ask? I happen to enjoy the torture. Will I do it again - Hell Yes.
Everything was a blurr from burpees onwards.

All the girls chasing strong… come to the front. 🤏🏾
I spent most of my 20’s chasing skinny.
I actually believed that was the goal. I believed that, if I could just become smaller, I’d finally feel confident. Happy. Worthy.
I thought losing weight and being skinny was the answer to all the things I struggled with internally.
Funny enough… I was the most insecure in the body on the left.
Now at 35, I choose to chase strong.
I’m building a stronger body for my future. A body that can carry me through life, support me, challenge me, and keep showing up for me.
This is the most confident I’ve ever been in my life.
This confidence didn’t come from shrinking myself. It came from discovering what my body is capable of. You are a bad ass if you can lift a bar above your head and squat below parallel. That’s a bad b move.
If I’m honest… There is something so powerful about becoming a woman who stops obsessing over taking up less space … and starts showing up and showing out loud and proud as she is instead.

I challenge you this week to do something hard!!!
I’m here to tell you that you can do the scary stuff. Your brain might be trying to convince you otherwise but trust yourself and try.
Doing something hard is clear evidence that your brain needs to give you the confidence to step out of your comfort zone.
If I can. You can.
Motivation is just as inconsistent as the guys you keep talking to on hinge.
I’m not always motivated to go to the gym. Sometimes I show up for consistency sake.
I’m telling you now, if you are looking for motivation to get you started; you won’t get it.
Sis, if you don’t feel like training? Go anyway —-> halfway through the session your energy will shift
Sis, if you don’t feel confident? Just do the thing —-> confidence grows from proof of action.
Every training session that you did not want to attend, but did anyway, says to your brain, “ I’m someone who shows up”.
That’s the best way to build habits, not motivation. That’s the beginning of consistency sis.

The red flags are just my heart rate on the
Atleast it doesn’t leave me questioning my worth after we are done and the pain comes with progress and no mixed signals.
Don’t forget fitness is testable. It’s not a look and it’s not a dress size.
Find joy in focusing on metrics and not mirrors. What can your body do? How far have you come? How consistent have you been?
That thing that you used to struggle with; look at how you now perform it with such ease.
This is not a sad post, it’s a celebration of letting go of what could have been and being grateful for what has been.
At 35, I find myself grieving the life I thought I’d have by now.
🌱The 5 year plan that didn’t happen.
📈The business that shut down.
🫂The friendships and relationships lost.
I’ve found so much peace in accepting every season for what it’s been. I’ve found joy in knowing that I’m exactly where I need to be. Present.
God didn’t bring me through the mourning just to leave me there. I might have circled the wilderness a few too many times, but, the promised land is still there.
I feel different, I am different.
Before I would make decisions driven by the fear of being behind.
Now, I’m more grounded, at peace and I move with intention, care and purpose.
Sis. If you feel the same, know that your story can change. Nothing is wasted. It’s all life and it’s all lessons.

Life is good.
Life is full of options.
Life is full of toxicity.
Choose yours wisely.

I don’t quit. I pivot.
If you’ve followed me for a while you will be familiar with my ups and downs. Despite all of that, one thing that is certain is that I don’t Quit.
The goal to be the healthy and I’m finding joy in the process. I’m finding joy in learning and adjusting. I’m intentional about the life changes I’m making.
We are playing the long game and it’s okay for you try something else if the first plan fails. We want progress not perfection.

The biggest lesson is understanding that this is not just a physical battle, it’s an internal one.
It’s about facing the parts of yourself you’ve been avoiding, taking accountability, learning your worth, and healing from within.
