If you know anything about me, you know I’m always thinking about what’s next?

You’ll also know, I LOVE to see others thrive! Because there is room for us all to succeed ✨

In my previous life in corporate, not only did I problem solve on the daily with my engineering consulting experience, I also had a senior leadership position, where leading and developing a team was part of my every day! It was the part of the job that I loved and do miss 🄹

So this feels like a totally natural next step for me šŸ’™

With my massage career, I have purposefully built it in the most sustainable way I knew how! I didn’t leave corporate to have no work life balance, or hit burn out again. And I really want to help others with this same approach.

I haven’t totally figured everything out yet! But if I’ve learnt anything about business in the last year. You’ve got to do it, even before you feel ready!!

So this post is just really to give you the heads up my content may be changing a little in order to attract fellow therapists.

If you’re a client of mine it may not feel that relevant for you. But I hope you stick around for the journey, because I wouldn’t be where I am today without all my clients amazing support!

I feel so lucky to have such an amazing bunch of clients around me supporting me every step of the way 🩵

Let’s see what the next chapter holds.

I can’t be the only one that this happens to šŸ˜‚šŸ˜…!! Me and my booking system have a love hate relationship!

This hasn’t been an easy one! But it feels right ✨

I’ve been so grateful to have been so busy that I’m almost fully booked over 2 months in advance (which is as far in advance as my books open).

Being ā€œbooked and busyā€ and in demand is something every new business owner dreams of, and I definitely don’t take it for granted. But when I really sit with my values and think about the type of business and client base I want to build long term, I’ve realised that being fully booked isn’t the only goal.

When I really sit with my values, and think about the ideal client base I love to work with. My dream clients are regular, consistent, and understand the importance of prevention over cure. They don’t just want to feel not in pain, they want to feel great!

It isn’t someone who wants to come in every 3 or 4 months for a battering and miracle fix.

Of course, not every client is able to commit to the membership, and some clients can’t rebook immediately for various reasons like they don’t know their shifts or schedules. But when these clients go to book a follow up appointment and they can’t get anything for two months it doesn’t support the kind of consistency I want to encourage.

Sooo I’ve made the scary choice to close my books to see how this feels and if this can help with the waiting times, and nurturing more consistency outside of my members also.

I’m not saying I will have tonnnness more availability as over 50% of my dairy is now members but it should hopefully feel more accessible!

I will be removing my booking link in my bio on 31st August. & no longer accepting new clients. Existing clients can continue to book with your ThatTime app. I may also be changing booking system in the coming months too so my existing clients will be informed the details of this when it happens.

If you want to join my books before the end of August please head over to booking link in my bio to book one of my last remaining appointments.

Thanks so much for supporting me on this next phase.

Sports massage is SO beneficial for non athletes too!

What’s the difference, isn’t this just deep tissue I hear you ask? No! It’s not!

I personally don’t have super deep pressure, I’m not just applying pressure all over, I’m hunting for areas that are the source of your tension. Strategically working to find areas of dysfunction, applying various sports massage techniques like trigger point, frictions, soft tissue release, muscle energy techniques, and tools like cupping and instrument assisted soft tissue release.

I’m adapting the entire session to you and problem solving as I go.

When you’re sat for hours at a desk, or nursing your child. Your body is adapting to the strain, some muscles are doing overtime and constantly contracted, others are over stretched.

As a sports massage therapist, my entire session is centred around you, your life, your tension and pains. Not a one size fits all treatment, a routine or the same deep pressure all over.

Most people are often a little reluctant or unsure about Cupping!

But once it’s been introduced, clients usually always want it! Because they really notice the benefits they bring. ✨

Have you tried cups?

Remember these are included in every Mend or Mend & Melt signature appointment - I will use them if I find a particular area that would benefit or if they are requested. ✨
