Waiting on our fate from the goverment updates this Monday and Thursday. And new Teir categories.

There is a possibility we will go into Teir 3 (due to our area high R rate) based on before lockdown 2.0 categories (though these may change) it will be down to our council if Salons are allowed to open..

I am proud to work in an industry with such high hygiene and cleanliness standards.

Post lockdown 1.0 no matter how tired we got of the sitiation and frustrated, hot and uncomfortable PPE, our team never faltered.

It is absolutely imperative to us that our guest are put first. Following the rules TO THE BOOK to ensure the saftest possible salon environment in these Covid times.

I am even more proud of our personal salon figures.

I beg if local councils do still have to make the final decider on this, before you make the descision, please come and visit my salon. I will welcome you to observe and ask about any of our procedures and policy and im sure there are many other salons that would too.

December like most of the leisure industry is extremely important to our trade. December is our busiest month of the year and carries us through the leaner new year months.

Its not just a case of "ladies wanting their nails done gor Christmas" that was so poorly written as a reason for our December trade in one national paper.. it is in my case keeping 7 local people in employment, paying their personal bills and putting back into the economy, with the bigger picture our salons remaining open on the Highstreet's around the country, keeping footfall driven to us and the local shops around us and the millions pumped into the UK economy.

There is no evidence that our industry is any higher risk of spreading this Virus than all the other shops and trades and working dynamics that are still currently trading.

It is a 17 page document, it details the "new normal" and outlines all risk in associated with trading with COVID-19 and what action we put in place right from day one to reduce risk to as low as possible.

This is a fluid document, which means it is constantly under review, and as we move towards" old normal" some actions will be lifted or amended.

Since this document we have updated our procedures internally to include all clients wearing masks and staff wearing visors and masks or goggles and masks

We are also displaying the NHS track and trace scan emblem and serving hot and cold drinks in dispoable cups.
Making sure We are constantly up to date with latest guidlines

Hair and Skin take our duty of care extremely seriously and work alongside Government directive, National Hairdressing and Beauty Federation our insurance and solicitors advice in regards to COVID-19 and our return to trade plan.
