✨Apparently I have to introduce myself… 🫣✨
Turns out when you spend most of your time behind the scenes building the dream, championing others and starting approximately 47 new projects a week… eventually someone tells you it really is time to do a “Meet the Team” post 😂
So… hi, I’m Dani — co-founder of at forty four (with a little help from hubby bringing the hard graft 💪)
I’ve been in business since I was 17 and we now have a few fun things going on! Most of our businesses are in construction & maintenance, so I’ve spent years surrounded by trades, builders tea and very male-dominated environments.
Somewhere along the way, I realised I wanted a little more creativity — so I set out to create a space that makes people feel good about themselves. Somewhere calm, full of good energy, with a sprinkle of luxury. A space that supports others in building their own business dreams too 🤍
I’m not a stylist, but I did train in head spas because it’s genuinely my favourite treatment in the world.
Outside the studio, I love family holidays, being pampered, championing other independent businesses and writing endless to-do lists for our hobby farm… (yep, another project 😂)
My brain never stops, I’m permanently busy and the ideas keep coming… but creating at forty four has been incredible — especially hearing people’s reactions when they walk into the space and knowing both clients and independent stylists feel happy here 🤍
It also took me far too long to find a photo of myself without sunglasses, children attached to me, or from over 10 years ago… which probably says a lot 😂
Can’t wait to say hi next time I’m in my favourite studio ✨
