Hello Everyone,

As many of you know, last Sunday night we were unfortunately broken into and burgled. We would just like to say thank you to everybody who has checked in with us to see how we are doing. We are both doing fine, but a little shaken. We are grateful that the damage wasn’t too severe and hasn’t prevented us from opening this week.

We appreciate your continued support and hope the front of the shop will be repaired and back to normal soon!

Hello Everyone,

Following yesterday’s government announcement we have a potential reopening date of the 12th of April. Hopefully this means we can reopen on Tuesday the 13th of April.

While we are excited at the thought of getting back to work, we are currently not making appointments until we have a confirmed opening date to avoid the possibility of having to rearrange appointments and cause any disappointment.

We hope you are all keeping safe and well and look forward to hopefully welcoming you back to the Salon soon.

We are sad to say that The Salon is temporarily closed until further notice in line with the latest tier 4 restrictions in place.

At the moment we have no reopening date. However, we will update you as soon as we have notice that we can reopen.

As I am sure you are aware as of Thursday the 5th of November we will be closed in line with the latest government guidelines. Marie and Lisa will be working today (Monday) through to Wednesday to try and ensure as many clients with appointments this week receive their appointments where possible.

At present, any appointments after the 2nd of December will remain the same.

Hello Everyone,

Following the change in government guidelines, face masks are now compulsory in all shops, although hair salons are excluded from this list. Despite this, we would like to kindly ask you to continue to wear face masks when entering The Salon. We provide a close contact service, which is seen as a higher risk than going shopping. This chart highlights the risk associated with different activities, we are classified as a moderate to high risk.

As a result, we would feel more comfortable working with all clients wearing masks. This is not only to protect us, but also to protect you, other clients and our families. Please note that any client with a genuine health reason will not be refused service for not wearing a mask.

We will be continuing to wear aprons and visors. We will also continue our extensive cleaning and sanitising measures between each client to ensure you are safe. Please help us to continue to provide a safe working environment for ourselves and other clients. We understand they can be uncomfortable and annoying, but they are recommended for the safety of others.

Ahead of our reopening on Saturday the 4th of July, we would like to kindly ask you to read the information below before attending your appointment. This is to ensure we provide a safe environment for all of our clients, and a safe working environment for us both.

- Please do not enter the Salon unless you have an appointment. We will be keeping the door to the Salon open to increase ventilation. No walk ins will be accepted, we are providing an appointment only service.

- When attending your appointment please bring the bare minimum with you, all personal belongings will need to be kept with you at all times. If required, we will provide you with a bag to place your items in.

- Upon arrival to the Salon your temperature will be taken and you will be asked to wear a face mask. If you do not have one, we can provide you with a disposable one. You will also be asked to sanitise your hands.

- We kindly ask you to not attend your appointment if you are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19. Please ring us to reschedule your appointment.

- Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time (not early) as there is no waiting area. Please be aware that if you are late for an appointment your appointment may be cancelled and you may be charged.

- Where possible, please attend your appointment alone to minimise the number of people within the salon. Exceptions to this include a parent attending with with child, or individuals with limited mobility who require assistance.

- Unfortunately we will not be able to offer you any refreshments or magazines, please feel free to bring your own from home.

- If you are attending the Salon for a dry trim, your hair must be freshly washed, within the hour of your scheduled appointment.

- We would like to encourage clients to pay by card, however we will still take cash if necessary.

We would just like to reassure you all that Marie and Lisa are aware of the correct health and hygiene requirements which will ensure a safe environment for both our clients and our personal safety. We have both now completed the Barbicide COVID-19 certification.

Additionally, we are working to ensure we have the correct PPE equipment ready for our return to work. Following the current government guidelines, we will aim to open on Saturday the 4th of July, unless these guidelines change closer to the time.

Regular clients will be contacted once we have a confirmed opening date. If any clients are unsure whether we have your correct contact details please send us a direct message. We are not making any appointments yet as the official opening date for salons has not been confirmed by the government.
