Today Lily and I attended our Beauty Works training day at Manchester, and we’re so excited to say we’re now officially qualified in Hybrid Ring & Weft extensions 🤎
We’ve been wanting to bring extensions into the salon for a while, so it was lovely to spend the day learning, getting hands-on and perfecting our techniques.
We’re so excited to be able to offer these alongside everything else we do at the salon, and we can’t wait to start creating some gorgeous transformations! ✨

✨ BOUNCY BLOWDRY MASTERCLASS, COMPLETE! ✨
Because who doesn’t love a big, bouncy, glossy blowdry?! 😍💁🏼♀️
Yesterday I completed some advanced training with Freya's Bouncy Blowdry's to perfect my existing knowledge. The training has allowed me to pick up SO many new tips, techniques and little tricks to make my blowdries even better! 🤎
I absolutely LOVE learning, improving and adding new skills to what we can offer at Elite Retreat 🫶🏼
So get ready … because I’m bringing all those new techniques straight back to the salon!

Scalp treatment journey 🌿🤎
This week, i carried out a deep scalp cleanse and reset, focusing on removing the build-up and congestion that had accumulated around the scalp and hair follicles.
Before:
My clients scalp had visible build-up, flakes and areas of congestion, with some redness and irritation visible. There was also quite a lot of residue sitting around the roots and scalp.
During the treatment:
We gently cleansed and exfoliated her scalp, loosening and removing the build-up without being harsh on the skin. The scalp was thoroughly cleansed and treated before finishing with the appropriate scalp care.
After:
My clients scalp is visibly cleaner, clearer and much less congested, with the build-up around the roots removed. You can see much more of the natural scalp between the hair, and the hair at the root looks fresher and lighter.
But this is only step one 💆🏼♀️
I also sent my client home with a personalised scalp care kit so we can continue the process at home. Consistency is key when it comes to scalp health today’s treatment gives the scalp a really good reset, but the homecare helps maintain that clean environment between salon visits.

Pumpkin spice and all things nice 🎃🔥
✨ GREY BLENDING ✨
A little reminder that grey blending doesn’t always mean bleach and lots of highlights! 🤍
For this lovely client, we wanted to soften and blend the ends to match her natural grey, without touching her natural root.
We used Dia Richesse through the lengths and ends, creating a soft, seamless blend while still allowing her natural grey to shine through.
A lot of people think you have to highlight the hair to achieve grey blending, but that’s not always the case. Sometimes it’s about working with the natural hair rather than trying to cover it.
No bleach, no harsh regrowth just a softer, more natural and low-maintenance blend. 🤍

After an absolutely amazing holiday, we’re home and ready to get back to doing what we love! 🥰☀️
We’ve had the BEST time, but I’ve definitely missed the salon (and all of you! 🤍).
