Hair extensions are an amazing way to add length, volume and confidence to your hair, but it’s important to understand that they are a long-term commitment and require regular maintenance to keep both your extensions and your natural hair healthy.

Tape-in extensions, for example, need to be refitted every 6–8 weeks. As your natural hair grows, the tapes move further away from the root, which means they must be removed, retaped and refitted properly.

Leaving tape extensions in for months on end (such as 6 months) without maintenance can lead to:

• Matting at the root
• Tension on the natural hair
• Breakage and damage

Regular maintenance appointments ensure your extensions stay comfortable, look flawless and most importantly protect the health of your natural hair.
