Dear client, YOU’RE NOT ON YOUR OWN 💕

One of the last things I always tell my clients before they leave the salon is: if you’re worried about your hair, message me❗️

I might see you every 6–8 weeks (sometimes 12!), but you’re looking after your hair every single day. So what happens between appointments is just as important as what happens in the salon.

This week, Sabina came back in because she was worried about breakage following her second Keratin treatment.

Sabina has naturally very thick, tight, curly hair, so as her natural texture grows back, there’s a delicate point where her natural hair and treated hair meet.

When we spoke about her home routine, I knew it was her blow drying technique wasn’t quiet right as she was actually setting her natural curls and texture as she dried it. This was then making the brushing process much harder, meaning she was having to pull through that delicate area once the hair was dry, exactly where we wanted to avoid unnecessary tension.

So rather than just telling her what she should be doing, I showed her.

We changed her blow-drying technique so her natural texture was gently stretched while wet, making the hair much easier to manage afterwards and reducing the need to pull and brush through it when dry.

And this is why I believe it’s not just about talking to you about your hair, it’s about showing you the real skills. 👏🏽

Sometimes you don’t need another treatment… you need to understand what your hair needs and how to care for it properly at home.
