Looking after brunette hair is all about keeping your colour rich, glossy, and healthy. Here's how:

• Use a colour-safe shampoo & conditioner

This helps prevent fading and keeps your tones vibrant. You can go for one made specifically for cool or warm brunettes, or a general colour-protecting formula — either works!

• Turn the heat down

Too much heat styling can dull your colour, not just from straighteners but even your hairdryer! Always use a heat protectant — every single time.

• Protect against UV fade

Heading on holiday or out in the sun? UV rays can lighten and fade brunette tones, so be sure to use protective hair products — and don’t underestimate the power of a good hat!
