Why I would recommend The Ombre Blush Brow over Microblading.

The most frequent question I’m asked is ‘’What is the difference between The Ombre Blush Brow and Microblading and which one is best’’.

I get asked this question so often I thought I would make a post about why I would recommend The Ombre Blush Brow over Microblading and give my reasons why. I have been getting my eyebrows tattooed for over 13 years so I know the industry extremely well, I’ve had both methods so I can give my honest opinion along with facts.

Yes, it was A LOT more expensive to train in The Ombre Blush Brow over training in Microblading, but you get what you pay for and I wanted to be trained by the best so I could then offer the best. I would not feel comfortable giving someone a treatment I didn’t believe in. There are more cons with Microblading and more pros with The Ombre Blush Brow. A friend of mine trained in Microblading and has since decided not to offer this as a treatment and used the qualification to offer an alternative treatment.

The Ombre Blush Brow is less invasive:
The Ombre Blush Brow is achieved using a small machine, which disperses extremely fine dots of pigments evenly into and across the skin in an airbrush or shading technique.
Microblading uses a hand-tool that creates incisions or small cuts into the skin. Over time, repeated incisions into the same spots will cause trauma to the skin more quickly.

The Ombre Blush Brows are less painful and has less bleeding:
The Ombre Blush Brows are less painful due to the airbrush-like technique that is applied, which creates less trauma to the skin vs. the blading technique of Microblading.
Microblading creates cuts into the skin thus more bleeding is involved. With The Ombre Blush Brows, minimal to zero blood surfaces during the procedure.

The Ombre Blush Brow lasts longer:
The Ombre Blush Brow single session, using the high-quality pigments I use, can last on average 2-3 years.
Microblading looks good straight after the procedure but it doesn’t last. It is the least permanent of all Permanent Makeup because of the shallow depth the pigment is penetrated under the skin. It therefore requires more frequent touch ups than other techniques. It has a high likelihood of healing blotchy, spotty or with blurred strokes, thus requiring more frequent touch-ups, generating more long term wear and tear on the skin, eventually maxing out the skin’s lifetime capacity quickly. Like any injury to the skin, the body repairs the wounded area by building collagen fibers, creating a scar.

The Ombre Blush Brow is great for all skin types:
The Ombre Blush Brows are great for any skin type, unlike Microblading, which is not suitable for those with oily skin.
Microblading is less effective on oily skin and will require several touch-ups, which causes more trauma to the skin.

The Ombre Blush Brow can look natural:
The Ombre Blush Brows can be tailored to suit the needs for each individual clients. whether it’s more of a natural look or defined look. They have a more “filled-in” look, the healed results appear like softly shaded brow pencil or powder. Immediately after the treatment, The Ombre Blush Brows can appear more saturated and bold, however they will fade 30%-50%, leaving a very soft finish and shape.
Microblading looks good and natural straight after the procedure but it doesn’t last. It has a high likelihood of healing blotchy, spotty or with blurred strokes.
