I get asked about thinning hair almost daily in my chair... so here’s the real tea
It’s usually not just “one thing” but these are the 3 biggest reasons I see and what you can actually do about it:
1. Scalp buildup
Dry shampoo, oils, hard water, even some shampoos... it all builds up over time and clogs the follicle

👉🏻If your scalp isn’t clean, your hair literally can’t grow properly
What to do: incorporate a gentle exfoliating scrub or detox shampoo weekly + actually scrub your scalp when you wash (not just your ends)
2. Stress + hormones
This one is HUGE and most people don’t even realize it
Stress, postpartum, hormone shifts... all of that can push your hair into a shedding phase
