Some of you may be concerned about a story in the news today regarding allergic reactions and gel manicures. Thankfully, I've not had a client have an allergic reaction to any of the products I use. My products do contain HEMA as do many other salon brands such as The Gel Bottle and CND Shellac, and it is considered safe in most cases as long as the concentrations are not higher than the recommended guidelines. The products I use are Mylee and Nailchemy and they are always:

💅 applied according to the manufacturer instructions
💅 cured under the correct lamp
💅 bought directly from Mylee or Nailchemy and not through Amazon or eBay where fakes can lurk
💅 wiped off of skin before curing

The products I use do not contain parabens and the lamp I use is LED and not UV, which can emit harmful UVA and UVB rays. My removal method minimises any product dust that may get onto other areas of your skin such as hands, arms and face.
