🚨 Joints need a little extra consideration and TLC right now - the drought has well and truly taken its toll.

▪️ I am receiving so many videos from clients who can see that their horses “just look a bit sore” but cannot put their finger on it.
▪️ The concussive force of this hard ground is catching up with many horses. Combine this with abnormally long, hot, dusty, dry conditions (affecting respiration) and changes to diet due to grass shortage/distressed grass - your horse’s body is dealing with a range of variable factors right now.

✨ But there is always help available. Taking steps now, prevents significant injury later.

🥺 That one hits too close to home! Recognise the signs, in yourself and others. And most importantly, just be bloody kind.

The most dangerous burnout isn’t loud. It’s the person who keeps delivering while quietly checking out of their own life.

47% of equestrians are experiencing high levels of burnout*

IMPORTANT UPDATE - new payment policy from August 2026.

I am happy to discuss with people privately, should they have questions.
Of course, there are always individual circumstances and invoices can still be written and sent for those who require them.

I am not currently asking for a deposit to secure appointments. I may need to review this, should the situation change.

Thanks ever so much for your continued support of a young business, striving to build itself to financially support a young family 💖

🫶 Eternally grateful to have my fur babies looked after so well by trusted people who love them too!
🌍 It means the world when you are far away and allows your mind to fully rest from worry.

🫶 Get involved - Légèreté is for all horses and all disciplines.
It will enhance what you already do and increases the longevity of your horse by enabling you to ride in a way that supports their natural biomechanics.

🌅 I am busy sun shining myself until early August, and sure enough my phone has been pinging like crazy - I will get back to you when I return 👍

I have become more and more frustrated with social media of late, and so in the interest of authenticity and absolute honesty (take me or leave me, that’s what you get!):

▪️No, I’m not reading up on academic texts to advance my equine anatomical knowledge, whilst holidaying with my family.
▪️Yes I am reading some trashy, spicy, supernatural romance and have no shame at all - I’m relaxing and switching off!
▪️ First unfiltered, 100% natural, normal family photo taken seconds before the one in the main post (whilst pratting about with the timer function) is posted in the comments - not quite so wholesome 😆

See you later, over and out

📸 A photograph came up as a memory the other day and I actually didn’t even recognise myself! Where has that carefree, happy hacking, confident rider gone?

🐴 It’s really hard to pinpoint what happened. Of course you can blame accidents/falls but that’s almost too obvious. It’s been declining for a very long time and even in that photo I wasn’t the brave twenty-something I had been.

🐴 Perhaps I now know a little too much about anatomy, see a little too much of what happens when things go wrong for horses. Perhaps my own health has played a part. Perhaps I do overthink it - something I was told in my lesson yesterday 😆

🐴 I don’t know what the answer is!!
But I’d really quite like to smile like that again, whilst riding around nowhere in particular with my super little ponio 💖

Is it just me, or does this resonate with anybody else?

🛫 Trying my best to have people covered, before I go away next week for some much needed R&R, and for the mad scramble on my return.
🙏 PLEASE plan forward and give me a “heads-up” if you know you need anything in the coming weeks/month, and do respond asap if you are a regular I am contacting to firm up a day and time.
🚨 And if you think I may have overlooked anything, give this old gal a gentle nudge 😜 I try my best but sometimes my brain gets fried 🍳🤷‍♀️

🔥Hotter than Hell but still a great day🔥

▪️I am definitely adapting some of what I do in this weather. And I have found that this has challenged me to be more creative and responsive to the needs of the horse. It’s ever so easy to fall into tried and tested patterns of treatment.
I’m making the most of these testing conditions, and pushing myself to consider new techniques.

▪️ When it’s hot like this it’s even more important to target treatments, be effective quickly and consider the horse’s tolerance levels - the temptation to “do it all” often detracts from a really great session; it cannot and should not be all done in one day. But you better figure out the source of the problem, and start there, otherwise you’re on a hiding to nothing 💖
