The photos above show slight banding close to the root area — something you might not notice unless you know what you’re looking for.
I recently came across a consultation video where a stylist asked a client if she was pregnant after spotting banding on the hair. This really caught my attention, so I decided to research it further… and I learned that hormonal changes during pregnancy can affect melanin, which can lead to subtle changes in hair colour as it grows.
Not long after, a client returned to me after about a year. During her consultation, she mentioned she now has a 5-month-old baby — meaning she was actually pregnant at her last appointment without knowing.
While blow-drying her hair, I noticed a band around 1–2 inches from the root… and it clicked! This was likely where the hormonal changes had affected the hair growth during pregnancy.
It’s such a subtle change, but a great reminder of how important consultations and understanding hair history really are. Hair tells a story — sometimes even before we realise it ourselves!

Overall, it’s the kind of color that feels timeless and wearable—rich enough for cooler seasons, but bright enough to glow in natural light year-round. It strikes that perfect middle ground between natural and enhanced, making it flattering, versatile, and quietly eye-catching.
