A little bit of everything really… mum life, business life, football mum life, holiday cocktails and somehow trying to keep all the plates spinning 😂

Watching my baby girl take her first little steps at 9 months 🥹, seeing my boys doing their thing and feeling ridiculously proud, making memories as a family, getting some much-needed sunshine… and in between all of that, still creating brows, lips + tiny tattoos and building Mimi’s into everything I want it to become.

Life has definitely been life-inggg lately 😂 but when I actually stop and look back at the little moments, there’s sooo much to be grateful for.

Business is growing, the Academy plans are coming together, my babies are thriving and I’m learning to actually enjoy the season I’m in instead of constantly thinking about what I need to do next. 🤍

A certificate doesn’t make you a confident SPMU artist. And I think we need to talk about that. 👀

There’s a HUGE difference between being qualified and feeling genuinely confident in your craft.

You can complete a course, walk away with your certificate and still feel completely overwhelmed at the thought of taking your first paying client.

And do you know what? That’s normal. 🤍

But this is exactly why choosing the right educator matters.

It’s not just about learning how to hold a machine, map a set of brows or implant pigment.

It’s about understanding WHY you’re doing what you’re doing.

Knowing how to adapt your technique, assess different skin types, make informed decisions and recognise when something isn’t right.

Because we’re not just working on clients. We’re working on people’s FACES. And that comes with responsibility.

As an educator, I want to see more artists entering this industry with the knowledge, foundations and mindset to keep developing long after their training has finished.

Not just another certificate to add to the wall.

5 things running a beauty business has really taught me 🤍✨

Building a business isn’t always the polished version you see on Instagram. There have been mistakes, lessons, investments I’d make differently now, moments of doubt and plenty of “what am I actually doing?” moments 😂

But that’s also where so much of the growth happens.

You don’t need to offer every treatment.
You don’t need to have everything figured out.
You don’t need to feel 100% confident before you start.
And you definitely don’t need to build a business that looks like everybody else’s.

Get really good at what you do. Keep learning. Make the mistakes. Adjust. Grow at your own pace.

Because slow growth is still growth, and sometimes the biggest progress is happening during the stages that don’t look particularly exciting online. 🤍

Build the skill. Build the confidence. Build the business.

But most importantly, build it around the life you actually want. ✨

Beauty girls & business owners, what’s the biggest lesson your business has taught you? 👀

Being fully booked doesn’t always mean your business is making the money it should be.

You can have a diary with no gaps, work back-to-back all day and still look at your bank account wondering where it’s actually going.

At some point, squeezing in another client or working another hour stops being the answer.

The shift? Moving away from low-ticket, high-volume services and adding higher-value skills that allow you to earn more without constantly doing more.

PMU gave me the opportunity to work differently. Fewer clients. Higher-value appointments. More space in my diary. More potential to grow my income.

And now, I teach other beauty professionals how to do the same.
