💔Beautiful lady, dutiful to the end 💔

So….. here it is ….

On this day 20 yrs ago I opened my salon Paula Stevens hair studio.

I was about to embark on a massive journey, one I never knew what it would bring or throw at me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Today is significant because it’s Also sadly been my last day trading at the salon .

Why??…

The reasons behind this are many.. covid, increases in running costs, suppliers and the uncertainty of the future not to mention my own mental health as a result of many things over the years…it’s certainly not because of how we have been working it’s probably been the best it’s ever been!

I’m so incredibly proud of what I’ve achieved together with my little team, what we have put together to keep delivering a great environment for all your hair needs has been tremendous! We have absolutely been there for each and every one of our Clients through three lockdown’s and three re-openings! We have truly been in it together.!

There has been many girls and guys ( yes we all loved Luke and Ricky) come and go over the years . I’m thankful to have met ,and trained some great hairdressers…
However over the past three years I think I found My dream team ! I’ve had the absolute pleasure and privilege of working with Emma (my baby) by my side for 18yrs ! Nat for 7 years ( but some of you will know she was one of my original apprentices 20yrs ago, she left and then lucky for my came back into my life ❤️) and Nikki for nearly 5 years the most amazing kind and caring lady ! Im so grateful we got to the end together! ., Not only are they work colleagues they truly are great friends and I genuinely love and thank each of them for everything they have helped me overcome within the business over the many many years.

I’ve really struggled and haven’t known how to share this information because once it’s out it becomes real.

I’ve many ‘thank yous’ to give for all the gifts, flowers and cards…..and most of all your support!

The kind words and huge show of affection for Me the salon and the girls is humbling, Ive always hoped over the 20 yrs it was a great place to come and enjoy getting your hair done, but I’ve discovered it’s been much more than that to so many of you.. ( thank you all for sharing this with me ) we know as a hairdressers you become part of everyone’s lives in so many ways but I never knew how much myself or the salon meant to so many.

What i have learned over the past weeks is … I/we absolutely got it right!
A beautiful, professional, caring and safe environment for you all to come to. I’m SO proud of this as it’s what I always wanted to achieve… I can’t believe it’s taken 20yrs to get it right ☺️ but that’s down to a fantastic team !

From the bottom of my heart ( which is a bit broken) I THANK YOU all for believing in my salon and me .

I look forward to sharing my new chapter with you all…

Well, storm Eunice is really making herself know isn’t she?! We will still be up and running in the salon, however, just to make things more comfortable to you we are more than happy for you to come straight up to the salon rather than waiting outside.
The signs won’t be outside the front door either.

*Update on mask wearing *

We would like to “Thank everyone”for their continued support to the salon and the Team. We have come a long way and as a small team we have worked hard to keep open to provide great hair for you our wonderful clients.

Today We recognise that the government has changed the wearing of masks to non mandatory.
So to save any confusion when visiting the salon for your hair appointment, we are not changing anything, so we kindly request you continue to Please Wear a mask and follow our safety measures we have had in place during the pandemic.
