It’s was treatment day today with Sophie Ritchie BSN INP So I’ve started to notice that my neck is need of some TLC especially when the front-facing camera unexpectedly opens and you catch that scraggly neck! 😂 Unfortunately, mine isn’t due to weight loss – it’s simply the natural ageing process. As we age, our collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid levels decline, leading to thinner, less elastic skin and that dreaded crepey appearance.

So today I decided to start my own neck treatment journey.

I have plenty of treatment options in my toolbox, but I chose to start with the OG – Profhilo®.

Why Profhilo? Because it isn’t a filler designed to add volume. It’s a bio-remodelling treatment made from one of the highest concentrations of pure hyaluronic acid available. Using IBSA’s patented NAHYCO® technology, it stimulates your skin to remodel itself from within. It encourages the production of four different types of collagen, boosts elastin, improves hydration, and supports healthier skin architecture. Over time, this leads to firmer, smoother, more hydrated skin with improved elasticity and texture.

I’ve had quite a few new followers recently, so I thought I’d say hello and tell you a little bit about me. 🤍

Hi, I’m Lynsey – the face behind Bespoke Skinology Aesthetics.

I’m an Emergency Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of NHS experience, and alongside working in A&E, I run my own HIS-registered aesthetics clinic here in Montrose.

My approach has always been simple: natural results, honest advice and treatments tailored to you. I believe aesthetics should enhance your confidence, not change who you are. Every face is unique, and every treatment plan should be too.

I’m passionate about skin health, facial rejuvenation and helping my clients feel like the very best version of themselves. Education is incredibly important to me, so I’m always investing in advanced training to ensure I’m providing the safest, most up-to-date treatments possible.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me spending time with my favourite person in the world – my daughter, Olivia. 🥰 We love making memories together, whether that's travelling somewhere new, enjoying days out, or simply spending quality time with family and friends. If there's good food and live music involved, I'm definitely happy!

One of my lovely patients came in today for her review following hairline hyperhidrosis treatment, and moments like these are exactly why I love what I do.

Hyperhidrosis isn’t just about excessive underarm sweating. It can affect many areas of the body, including the hairline and scalp, and for those living with it, it can have a huge impact on confidence and everyday life.

My patient had recently started a medication that has genuinely changed her life, but one of the side effects was excessive sweating, particularly around her hairline. As many people know, sweating can make you feel self-conscious, and in her case, the anxiety of noticing it would only make the sweating worse.

After a thorough consultation, we decided that treating her hairline would be the best option.

Today she came back smiling and told me she’d noticed a massive difference.

I can’t tell you how happy that made me. She is one of life’s genuinely lovely people, and I’ve thought about her several times since her treatment, hoping it had made a difference to her confidence and quality of life.

It has.

This is why I love my job. It’s not always about treating lines or adding volume. Sometimes it’s about helping someone feel comfortable in their own skin again, giving them the confidence to go about their day without constantly worrying about something that others may not even realise they’re battling.

Lower face refresh with RHA 3

One of the most common concerns I see as we age is tightness through the DAO and mentalis muscles.
This can create that downward pull and the “witchy” or puckered chin appearance… something that happens to all of us over time, especially as the chin bone naturally regresses.

For this lovely client, I took a multi-layered approach:

💉 Anti-wrinkle treatment to relax the DAO + mentalis
→ softens the downward pull and smooths the chin

💉 Teoxane RHA 3 (cannula technique)
→ using the classic bow tie method to gently lengthen and rebalance the chin

The result?
✨ A smoother, softer lower face
✨ Improved proportions
✨ A more lifted, refreshed appearance without looking “done”

This is a perfect example of how subtle adjustments can make a big difference to overall harmony of the face.

First time lips using Teoxane’s NEW Kiss Volume 💋

Today I had the pleasure of using Teoxane’s new Kiss Volume dermal filler… and I absolutely LOVE it already 😍

My patient (and a very good friend 🤍) had never had lip augmentation before, but she already had a beautiful natural shape and great volume to work with — the perfect canvas to enhance rather than change.

We used 1ml to softly build on what was already there:
✨ Tenting technique to define and lift the Cupid’s bow
✨ Linear threading through the lip body for smooth, even volume

The result?
💋 Still her lips… just a little more defined, hydrated, and balanced.
