πŸ‘‰ She'd finally done it.

The packed lunches were made.

The school run was over.

The washing machine was on.

The house was quiet.

She made herself a coffee.

Sat down on the sofa...
..and within seconds her mind had already left the room.

πŸ€” Did I reply to the teacher?

What's for dinner?

I need to book the dentist.

I forgot to move the washing.

I should ring Mum.

Maybe I'll clean the kitchen while I've got five minutes...

Her coffee was still warm.

But she wasn't there to enjoy it.

Not because she couldn't relax...

Because she'd become so used to carrying everyone else's needs that even a quiet moment felt like another job to do.

That was the part that broke my heart. πŸ’”

Not that she couldn't switch off.

But that she'd stopped expecting to.

If this feels like your mornings...

πŸ’™ What have you been carrying?

πŸ‘‰ She made breakfast.

Popped the toast in the toaster

Cut the toast into little squares.

Filled the water bottles.

Signed the school letter.

Found the missing shoe.

Answered "Mum..." three times before she'd taken her first bite.

By the time she picked up her own toast...

She ate it standing at the kitchen counter.

Not because there wasn't a chair.

Because sitting down never even crossed her mind.

πŸ’‘ That was the moment that stayed with me.

Not that she ate standing up.

But that it had become so normal...

She didn't even notice she was doing it.

Sometimes it's not the big things that tell us we've been carrying too much.

It's the tiny moments we've stopped questioning.

Did this feel familiar?

Comment **ME** and I'll send you something that might help you notice a few more of those everyday moments.

πŸ’™ What have you been carrying?

πŸ‘‰ I finally sat down.

The house was quiet.

My tea was still warm.

But my mind had already emptied the dishwasher...

packed tomorrow's lunch...

replied to three messages...

and planned dinner.

I hadn't rested at all.

I'd just changed where I was sitting.

It made me wonder...

When did sitting down stop feeling like resting?

If you've ever had five quiet minutes...
..but your mind never got them too,

you're not the only one.

Comment "REST" if this felt familiar. 😌

πŸ‘‰ What sound does your jaw make at 2pm on a Tuesday?

Nothing.

Mine had been tight for hours...
..and I hadn't noticed once.

I didn't realise it until I yawned.

My jaw felt stiff.

Tight.

Almost tired.

Not because anything dramatic had happened that day.

πŸ“§

Just emails.

School runs.

Remembering anniversaries.

Replying to messages.

Thinking three steps ahead.

Somewhere along the way, I'd stopped noticing what my body had been holding.

It made me wonder... 🀯

What have I become so used to carrying that it no longer stands out?

Sometimes it's not the big moments that tell us we need to pause.

Sometimes it's the quiet ones we've stopped paying attention to.

Have you ever caught yourself noticing something like this?

Comment "NOTICE" if this felt familiar.

πŸ‘‰ I took the last sip of my latte...
..and realised I hadn't tasted a single mouthful.

I'd finally found ten minutes to myself.

But my mind never sat down., running over every tiny detail to make sure i remembered my mum duties.

"Don't forget to reply to that message."

"I need to sort dinner."

"I must book that appointment."

I felt overwhelming Guilty for stopping, and
restless even though nothing was happening.

"I really don't know how to switch off anymore."

I realised it wasn't the coffee I was missing.

πŸ˜ƒ It was the chance to be fully present for just one moment.

If this felt familiar, you're not the only one.

πŸ‘‰ The house finally went quiet... and I still couldn't sit down.

I'd been looking forward to those five minutes all day.

For once, nobody needed me.

But instead of sitting down...

I wandered from room to room.

I picked things up.

Put them back down.

Checked my phone.

Opened a cupboard for no reason.

Then I caught myself thinking...

"What's wrong with me?"

πŸ’‘ If you've ever had a moment like that, you're not the only one.

It's one of the moments we explore during a Survival Mode Auditβ„’.

πŸ‘‰ Most women tell me they're exhausted.

They think they need more sleep.
A holiday.
A massage.
A weekend to themselves.

Sometimes they do.

But often, that's not the whole story.

They're carrying the mental load.
The responsibility.
The pressure to keep everything going.

When we slow down long enough to look beneath the surface, the real weight becomes clearer.

That's where change begins.

What have you been carrying lately?

13/07/2026

πŸ‘‰ "There has to be a better way than just trying to cope"

"There has to be a better way."

She didn't say it out loud.

She thought it while standing in the kitchen, looking at the washing that still needed folding.

She thought it when everyone wanted something from her before she'd finished her first cup of tea.

She thought it lying awake at night, exhausted, but mentally planning tomorrow.

She'd spent so long trying to cope better.

Trying to be more organised.

More patient.

More grateful.

More everything.

But no one had ever asked her a different question.

Not...

"How can you cope better?"

But...

"What have you been carrying?"

Sometimes the answer isn't trying harder.

Sometimes it's finally recognising everything you've been holding for everyone else.

That's where change often begins.

If this felt like you, comment **SEEN** and I'll send you a simple reflection that might help you understand what you've been carrying.

πŸ‘‰ The house wasn't what overwhelmed her.

She stood in the kitchen holding the washing basket.

The breakfast dishes were still on the side.

The school bags hadn't been unpacked.

There were toys on the floor.

Dinner still needed making.

She looked around...

and froze.

Not because she didn't know how to tidy.

Because she didn't know where to begin.

For weeks she'd been making decisions for everyone else.

❓️ "What do the kids need?"

"What does work need?"

"What does my partner need?"

She'd become so used to putting herself last...

that when someone finally asked,

"What do *you* want?"

She didn't have an answer.

Not because she didn't care.

Because she'd stopped asking herself that question a long time ago.

Sometimes feeling lost doesn't happen all at once.

It happens one small decision at a time.

Until one day you realise you've been looking after everyone else...

and forgotten how to look after yourself.

If this felt familiar, comment **ME** and I'll send you a simple reflection that helps you reconnect with yourself.
