“What does microneedling actually do?” is a very fair question.

Treatment names can sound a little intimidating. Skin School is here to help you understand what we offer at Skin & Co and what it might mean for your own skin.

Microneedling creates tiny controlled punctures in the skin, triggering a repair response. It may improve the appearance of some acne scars, fine lines and uneven texture. Results vary and develop over time; a course may be recommended.

We offer Lynton EPN, which combines microneedling with electroporation. We’ll explain the treatment, suitability, likely recovery and aftercare before you decide. Redness, swelling and tenderness can occur, and there are risks to discuss. Active acne or irritated skin may mean treatment needs to wait.

Having lived with acne from an early age, I understand why skin concerns can feel personal. I want you to feel listened to and comfortable asking questions, including “Is this actually right for me?”

I’m Jessica, owner of Skin & Co Morpeth, and while there’s a wonderful team of us here at Skin & Co, skin is where you’ll usually find me.

For me, a skin appointment should be about so much more than simply choosing a treatment from a menu.

I want to get to know you.

I want to know what you see when you look in the mirror, what’s bothering you, what you’ve tried before, what you’d love to improve — and ultimately, how you’d like to feel about your skin.

Then we work it out together.

I treat concerns including pigmentation, redness and visible vessels, congestion, texture, fine lines and dull or lacklustre skin, using treatments including HydraFacial, IPL, microneedling, AlumierMD professional peels, Dermalux LED and CryoPen.

But treatments are only part of what I do.

I also specialise in medical-grade homecare, because what you do with your skin every day can be just as important as what we do together in clinic.

And please don’t worry if you have absolutely no idea what you need before you come in.

My consultations are relaxed, friendly and completely personalised. There’s no pressure to book a treatment and no expectation that you should already understand skincare.

Sometimes I’ll recommend a treatment plan. Sometimes we’ll start by changing your homecare. Sometimes I’ll tell you that you don’t need something.
