Hair Loss: When Should You Be Concerned?
More and more clients are coming to us concerned about hair loss. Sometimes hair shedding can be seasonal and completely normal. We naturally lose around 50–100 hairs a day, and new hairs usually grow as part of the natural hair-growth cycle.
However, when hair loss becomes sudden, excessive, or continues for a long time, there can be different underlying reasons. These may include hormonal changes, thyroid problems, iron deficiency, low levels of certain vitamins or minerals, stress, changes in diet, illness, or other health conditions.
If you notice significant or persistent hair loss, it is important to consult a doctor or qualified specialist and consider having your health and nutritional status checked. Sometimes the cause can be complex and needs proper investigation.
Remember that beautiful, healthy hair starts from within. A balanced diet with enough protein and essential nutrients, good sleep, exercise, relaxation, and overall wellbeing all support healthy hair growth.
Nutrients such as iron, zinc, protein and certain vitamins can be important when you are deficient. Supplements such as biotin or collagen are not a solution for every type of hair loss, so it is best to identify the underlying cause first.
Listen to your body. Take care of your health. And remember: when it comes to hair loss, don't just treat what you see on the outside—look for the reason from within.
