Hello everyone.... just a quick update from me as I’ve been very very quiet on here lately....

I’ve been knees deep in training, racing and my MSc these past few months.

Raced a lot in February and ended up going to Europeans in Poland in March then had a long isolation period afterwards 🥱 and I’m off to Poland again next week for the world relay champs with another isolation period following that but I promise I’ll back treating as soon as that’s over with🙌🤞 remember to

TIBIALIS ANTERIOR

✅ORIGIN: Upper two thirds of lateral tibia
✅INSERTION: Medial Cuneiform
🏋️‍♀️ACTION: Dorsiflex and invert the foot
💉NERVE SUPPLY: Deep fibular nerve (L4, L5)

ILIACUS

✅ORIGIN: Iliac fossa and crest
✅INSERTION: Lesser trochanter of the femur where it joins with and inserts as the iliopsoas muscle
🏋️‍♀️ACTION: Flexion and external rotation of the hip joint; ipsilateral bending of the trunk; raises the trunk from the supine position
💉NERVE SUPPLY: Femoral nerve (L2, L3)

GASTROCNEMIUS

✅ORIGIN: Lateral head: Femur and the lateral condyle superiorly; Medial head : Femur and the media condyle superiorly
INSERTION✅ Calcaneus via the the calcaneal tendon
🏋️‍♀️ACTION: Platerflexion of the talocrural joint; flexion of the knee joint
NERVE SUPPLY💉: Tibial Nerve (S1, S2)

RHOMBOID MAJOR

✅ORIGIN: Spinous Process of T2-T5
✅INSERTION: Medial border of scapula inferior to spine of scapula
🏋️‍♀️ACTION: Retracts and downward key rotates pectoral girdle at acromioclavicular and sternoclavicular joints
💉NERVE SUPPLY: Dorsal scapula nerve (C4-C5)

TERES MINOR

✅ORIGIN: Posterior aspect of of superior 1/2 of lateral border of scapula
✅INSERTION: Greater tubercle of humerous
🏋️‍♀️ACTION: Laterally rotates, Transversally abducts and stabilises arm at glenohumeral joint
💉NERVE SUPPLY: Axillary nerve (C5-C6)

DELTOID

✅ORIGIN: Lateral 1/3 of clavicle; Acromion of Scapula; Spine of scapula
✅INSERTION: Deltoid tuberosity of humerous
🏋️‍♀️ACTION: Flexes and medially rotates arm at glenohumeral joint; Extends, laterally rotates and transversely abducts arm at glenohumeral joint
💉NERVE SUPPLY; Axillary nerve (C5-C6)

LEVATOR SCAPULA

✅ORIGIN: Transverse processes of C1-C2; Posterior tubercles of transverse processes of C3-C4
✅INSERTION: Superior angle of scapula; Media border of scapula superior to spine of scapula
🏋️‍♀️ACTION: Elevates and downwards rotates pectoral girdle at acromioclavicular and sternoclavicular joints; Extends laterally flexes neck and cervical vertebral joints
💉NERVE SUPPLY: Anterior rami of 3rd and 4th cervical nerves; dorsal scapular nerve (C5)

Unfortunately due to Saturday nights announcement I can not carry on treating privately as usual during this lockdown, this is very disappointing for me but I agree that it’s the right thing to do!
