Hyfryd Holistic Therapies

“Why don’t you charge more?”

I’ve been asked this quite a few times recently, particularly because I’m a degree-qualified therapist.

I may need to increase my prices slightly this autumn because of rising utility bills and other business costs. But currently, I charge £40 an hour for massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, hot stones and a variety of other treatments.

There are therapists in the wider area charging up to £60 an hour — almost 4¾ hours at minimum wage for one hour of treatment.

I could charge more, but I don’t believe in charging the equivalent of what you might pay a physiotherapist. Although I have a degree in my field, I’m not a physiotherapist or a medical professional, and I think that distinction matters.

I believe massage is a necessity for wellbeing, not a luxury. I believe everyone should be able to access regular treatments without the cost becoming a barrier.

That’s why keeping my treatments affordable is important to me. ❤️
