You may have noticed we have been completely absent from Social media since May & our accounts were totally “erased” from the digital world. We couldn’t post, see tagged posts or messages and couldn’t create a new account 😢😢. We have missed you so much!

Sadly we were hacked, all social accounts were disabled & removed and we were unable to recover by all the usual channels. The Police and cyber crime support networks have been great but as you can imagine it’s been super stressful and really upsetting!!!

We worked so hard - for it to be taken away in an instant was quite shocking!! We are so pleased to be back and are looking forward to sharing more and getting our inbox under control - if you are waiting for a response to a DM please bare with us :-)

Consistency & patience in skincare is key to achieving results.

The skin has a natural cycle of renewal and this can change with age. In our 20’s skin & fat cells renew approx every 28d but this time increases and often can take 6-8 weeks in our 40’s and above.

No skincare product can magically change skin, erase wrinkles and replace significant volume loss overnight or after 1 or 2 treatments (we all wish 🤣) -and if you are looking for more dramatic and immediate results then a facelift and/or well placed fillers and neurotoxin carried out by an experienced professional might be the route of choice. However, good skincare and targeted use of lip facial & spf lip shield can support, future-proof and help address concerns associated with lips & skin around the mouth.

It is easy to give up, if we don’t see immediate results but remember the skin takes time to respond and changes can be subtle, slowly building over time. Taking a photo before you start a new routine to compare 8 weeks later can be really useful, and sometimes the smallest thing like realising lipstick doesn’t bleed into lines as much as it once did, or the lip line just looks sharper, can give you a clue that the skin is responding.

👩‍🔬 As a Physiologist with a background in Pharmacology, I spent over a decade teaching & researching how the body and skin respond to stress, exercise, and environmental exposure – and had the privilege of supporting Team GB across three Olympic and Paralympic Games working with elite athletes and support teams.
 
⛷️🏔️🏇 My love of the outdoors — skiing, hiking, horse riding — showed me firsthand how vital UV protection and consistent, intentional skincare is to support skin health & reduce premature ageing.
 
💋 During a career break in my forties, whilst living in the French Alps, I saw dry, cracked, sunburnt lips and prematurely aged skin around the mouth every day. Inspired and determined to use my knowledge to drive innovation in skincare, ALBUS & FLORA was born. For the last 12 years I have been solely focused on skin.
