👋 Our next Start Up Collective is this Thursday.
I've been exploring AI quite a bit recently, so I thought it would be brilliant to get around the table and share how we're actually using it in our businesses (or what we'd like to use it for!).
No experts required, just a chat around how we're using it what we'd like it to work on!
Hopefully we'll all leave with something useful to try.
10am–12pm at Buick Mackane, with the option to stay until 1pm.
Free for members, £10 for everyone else.
Who's coming? 😊
On Friday we welcomed Cooksey to Buick for a brilliant workshop all about creating better video content.
We tried microphones, autocues and interviewing each other ...picked up loads of tips.
I think the biggest blocker for most of us isn’t the equipment or knowing what to say. It’s confidence.
We all overthink how we look and sound, worry about getting everything perfect, and then don’t post anything at all!
So perhaps the answer is simply to post more and think a little less. The more we do it, the less scary it becomes.
A huge thank you to Cooksey for sharing his expertise, and to everyone who came along and got involved. 💗

I nearly didn't go! ⚡️
When I first heard about She’s Electric I wasn't convinced it was particularly relevant to me or Buick. But I woke up and it was a sunny day so decided on the spur of the moment, also persuaded as it was at Daylesford Organic, to go.
A day at the beautiful Daylesford, meeting interesting people, hearing different perspectives and discovering ideas I probably wouldn't have come across otherwise.
I came away with plenty to think about, especially around AI, technology and how we can use them in our businesses without losing the human touch.
Must remember...Don't dismiss something just because it doesn't immediately look like it's for you.
Sometimes stepping out is great for the soul!
And now I have even MORE ideas to add to my list! 😂 Mmm must action...

You'll learn how to set up a simple, good-looking shot, use autocue without sounding like you're reading it, light yourself properly on a budget, get decent audio, and come across as watchable on camera. It's hands-on and interactive, so you'll actually get in front of a camera and try it out in the room, not just sit and listen.
Hosted by Cooksey, who has spent almost two decades working on video and visual effects for the worlds biggest brands. Now runs Nice Touch, an AI video editing platform. He runs hands on sessions for anyone from 5 years old to 105, where you can learn to capture quality video no matter your equipment or experience.

I've spent the last couple of weekends giving the patio a bit of a zhuzh up...on a limited budget!
Best buy was the John Lewis blue glass table only £50 on facebay... Buicked with sone pink legs! Now there is a proper space to work outside. Hopefully we get a bit more sun to enjoy it.
Favourite and... only new thing is the tiger outoor rug from £30. LOVE LOVE this. Well not counting sand and cement for the grouting....not fun...but done.
Musn't forget to thank the son helper. Couldn't have done it without you. 🤗
Come for a ☕️ see for yourself.
