Let's talk SPF ☀️

When speaking to patients in our clinics we have found a great mix between those who wear SPF daily and those who are unaware of the benefits and why they should be doing it 🤷‍♀️

SPF is used to protect our skin from UV rays and is without a doubt the BEST way to prevent skin ageing. There is little benefit in having lots of lovely aesthetic treatments if you don't also wear sunscreen every single day too!

The benefits of SPF are improved skin health, a decrease in the rate of skin ageing and most importantly a reduced risk of skin cancer 🤍

If you don't already, please wear SPF every single day, remembering to re-apply every 2 hours when in direct sunlight. Don't forget your neck, hands and anywhere else on the body exposed to the sun ✨️

There are also other ways to enhance protection such as a wide brimmed hat and UPF clothing!
