Today’s patient came to us with a long-standing rotator cuff injury after injuring her shoulder while training in the gym.

Using our VINNO S300 Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS), we were able to accurately identify chronic supraspinatus tendinopathy, which can be clearly seen on the ultrasound image.

Rather than guessing where the pain is coming from, ultrasound allows us to pinpoint the exact area of injury so we can start the right treatment immediately. The patient has now been booked for 3–5 sessions of ultrasound-guided Focused Shockwave Therapy, providing targeted treatment directly to the damaged part of the tendon instead of treating the whole shoulder region.

She was absolutely over the moon with how quick, accurate and reassuring the scan was, and loved that her treatment will be ultrasound guided, making it far more precise and focused on the injured tissue.

Today we carried out two point-of-care MSK ultrasound scans, allowing us to diagnose the exact cause of our patients’ pain within minutes—without months of waiting for an NHS scan.

🔍 Ultrasound Scan Leads to the Right Treatment Pathway – Without Delay

We had a client in the clinic today for an ultrasound scan of the Achilles tendon after struggling with ongoing Achilles pain and stiffness for quite some time.

The scan provided valuable insight straight away, allowing us to identify the underlying issue and ensure we started the correct treatment pathway immediately—without wasting any time.

📊 What did we find?

• Achilles tendon thickness measured 8.1mm (a normal Achilles tendon is typically less than 6mm).
• Evidence of calcification within the tendon, suggesting the tendinopathy is chronic in nature.

With a clear diagnosis, we have now booked the client in for 4 sessions of Ultrasound-Guided Focused Shockwave Therapy, which is considered the gold standard treatment for tendon-related conditions and has excellent evidence supporting its effectiveness.
