I’m taking some time away from the salon from Tuesday 29th April, returning Monday 11th May.

Summer glow, zero stress ☀️

We went with a soft balayage and a subtle face frame to brighten things up just in time for the heat.
My client’s main goal? A look that stays seamless as it grows out.
No harsh lines, no high-maintenance root touch-ups, just lived-in perfection.

Hair is my favorite canvas. 🎨

When my clients give me total creative control, I get to lean into what works best for their face shape, skin tone, and lifestyle. This transformation is proof that a little trust goes a long way.

I’m not going to lie, the last week has been a huge test of my sanity! But the wires are fixed, the lights are on, and I am officially back in action tomorrow.

The salon is closed today because of some electrical issues. To those I’ve had to rearrange, I am so sorry for the inconvenience, these things always happen when you least expect them!

I’m spending the day buried in paperwork while I wait for the electrician.

I am expecting to be back open tomorrow! 🤞🏼

The face behind the chair: This is my journey. A little bit of my heart, and the story of Logan Hair Lounge... 🤍

For those who don’t know me, my name is Natalie. I spent nearly 16 years, most of my adult life in a busy salon in Ponteland. I started there at 16, a shy girl learning how to hold a pair of scissors, and I grew up within those walls. That salon was my second home, my safe place, and where I made friends who became family.

But in 2024, my daughter was born, and suddenly, “life as usual” didn’t fit anymore.
I’ll be honest, coming back from maternity leave was a massive reality check. I think a lot of M**s will know exactly what I mean when I say the “maths” just didn’t add up. Between the school runs and the cost of childcare, I was stuck. With only three days a week of help and one of those days being when the salon was closed, I felt like I was being backed into a corner. I felt like I had to choose, do I give up the career I’ve spent 17 years building, or do I miss out on my little girl growing up?

So, we took the leap. ✨
And when I say “we,” I mean myself and my partner, Lee. If you see the beautiful space I work in now, just know that Lee is the reason the walls are even standing! 😂 He spent endless hours making sure my dream was becoming a reality. He believed in me when I was terrified to believe in myself.

The name was the hardest part. I wanted it to mean everything. Then one day, it just clicked. I thought about my little girl, Harlow Rey Logan, and my beautiful stepdaughters. This lounge exists for them, I wanted to bring home a wage for my family without losing the precious, fleeting moments I have with them. Because at the end of the day, there is so much more to life than just ‘work.’

It’s been nearly eight months since I first opened the doors to Logan Hair Lounge, and I can honestly say, hand on my heart, it’s the best decision we’ve ever made. I get to be the stylist I’ve always been, but I finally get to be the Mammy I want to be.
