So this week is definitely going to be emotional 😢

It's with great sadness that I have had to make the decision to close my little salon due to lots of ongoing circumstances in my personal life.
I'm sure you can all imagine just how difficult it has been for me to come to this decision. We have tried to contact everyone over the past few weeks which has been a mammoth task in itself, and big apologies if we haven't yet reached out to you.

Our last working day in the salon is Wednesday 29th November 😪

These past couple of weeks I have spent time reflecting on almost 12 years of salon life. I couldn't be anymore grateful if I tried for the support and loyalty I have received from each and every person who has walked through my door, past and present!!
It has been an incredible journey and I'm feeling extremely blessed and proud of the successful business I have achieved 🥰

Throughout the years we've faced lots of challenges with the biggest of them being COVID 🙈 however, I have a lot to be thankful for, as if it hadn't of been for that time... I'd not of had the beautiful Gail back in my life 💞 she has been a rock to me over the past few years and I'd be lost without her.

Of course then there's Joy 😊 the "boss", the cleaner, the dogs body, the creator of all noise, chaos and mischief 🤣🤣
This woman is a legend!! I am eternally grateful to have her as not only my mam but my best friend ❤️ She has been by my side, helped and supported me through every single step of this journey!

We have laughed, we have cried... and sometimes laughed until we've cried 🤣 We've all created so many happy memories together as staff and clients who have bonded to make special friendships... Thank You all 💝💝💝

Many of you will know my favourite motto...
Everything will be OK in the end, and if it's not OK.... it's not the end!

Some of you may remember a while ago I became a local drop off point for items for the Ukraine Appeal to help my cousin.

For the last few years she has also done a collection leading up to Christmas to help family's in our area 🥰 This year I have once again volunteered to be a collection point for anyone local to the Chopwell area who would like to donate.

The thought of any child waking up on Christmas morning to find Santa hasn't been good to them 😪 it breaks my heart 💔
I know Lucas is desperate to gift something to another child who is less fortunate.

Last time the lovely Lauren was in with me she requested that this appointment our theme to be "Celestial"
Of course I was happy to take this on and obviously as always she left it all in my hands to surprise her with the result. I got to work that night with ideas and created a mood board... today was the day to create this beauty!

It's a standing joke with the two of us that every single hair transformation is always "the most favourite yet" 🤣 but I need to pull my finger out in future to beat today's stunner!!

Afternoon all,

Just wanted to pop a message on to inform everyone there may be a chance I need to rearrange some of your appointments over the next few weeks. If this is the case I will contact you if needs be.

Unfortunately there are things going on at the moment that are out of my control and I'm sure it's going to affect my working schedule.
My diary is currently full until mid August and due to that and family commitments I have made the decision I will not be taking on any new clients at this time.

I will try my best to keep things flowing as normal, however if you message me and I don't reply straight away, please be patient 🙂
Please may I ask that if you need to speak with me, to contact me on my business number 07399 398581 only and not my personal number or messenger, and try to stick to my working hours rather than late night messages or weekends.

Unfortunately, the current situation with the inflation climate has hit us all hard, creating tough times for everyone, including small businesses like myself.

For the past few months I have been hesitating and trying my best to keep my pricing the same for as long as possible.
However the rise in my overheads and running costs have increased. It is extremely important to me to still be able to provide you all with the best service and products available.
Therefore going forward, I have no choice but to make an adjustment with my pricing which will take place from Wednesday 25th January 2023.

I have also recently had some NO SHOW clients... Being a small business this really does have an impact on my income and is frustrating given that I have a cancellation list for clients who would appreciate the missed appointment.
I have never had to take a booking deposit in the past as 99% of my clients do attend their appointments. However this is something I may need to introduce if this problem carries on in the future.
From Wednesday 25th January 2023, I will now be charging 50% of your service charge for NO SHOW appointments which must be paid before you are able to make your next booking.
If you are unable to attend your appointment please contact me on 07399398581 24 hours prior to your appointment slot.
