Nurse Skin Collective
Nurse Led Skin Clinic | Newcastle | Specialising in medical grade facials | based at Salon Be
Sometimes the best thing you can do for your skin is strip your routine back.
When your skin feels tight, sensitive or irritated, it’s tempting to add another serum to “fix” it. But layering more products especially exfoliating ones can make it harder to work out what your skin needs.
I often start with the basics: a gentle cleanser, a moisturiser that suits your skin and daily SPF. Then we can introduce targeted products gradually, with a reason for each one.
Home care matters because it’s what you do between clinic visits. A treatment plan works best when your everyday routine supports your skin too.
At Nurse Skin Collective, I’ll look at what you’re already using before recommending anything new. You don’t need a ten-step routine; you need one that makes sense for your skin.

Pigmentation isn’t just one thing.
A dark mark left after a breakout, a patch of melasma and a sun spot can look similar but they may have different triggers. That’s why it can feel frustrating when you’ve tried products or treatments and the pigment keeps coming back.
Before choosing what to do next, I want to understand when the marks appeared, what might be triggering them, your skin history and how your skin responds to light and inflammation.
At Nurse Skin Collective, we assess first and build a plan around your skin. Sometimes that means addressing breakouts or supporting your skin barrier before considering a corrective treatment.
If you’re unsure what’s behind your pigmentation, book a New Patient Consultation & Facial through the link in my bio. We’ll start by understanding your skin. 🤍
One thing I’ve changed about my clinic? I’m moving away from selling individual treatments as the answer to every skin concern.
Because your skin doesn’t follow a menu. What it needs now might be different from what it needs in three months.
So instead, we start with a consultation. I assess your skin, listen to your goals and create a clinician-led skin journey that can adapt as your skin changes.
That might include treatments, homecare and time to focus on your skin barrier first. And if you just want a one-off bespoke facial, that’s still an option too.
The difference is: we choose with intention.

Chemical peels aren’t one-size-fits-all.
If you’re dealing with pigmentation, breakouts or uneven texture, it’s easy to think, “I just need a peel.” But choosing one from a menu doesn’t tell us what your skin is ready for.
Peels vary in depth and formulation, and a stronger peel isn’t automatically a better one. Your skin history, sensitivity, current routine and recovery time all matter.
At Nurse Skin Collective, I assess your skin first. We may decide a peel is the right step or that preparing your skin should come first. Either way, the treatment is chosen for you.

Super exciting news! Nurse Skin Collective is moving LOCATION!
Super excited to be taking this next chapter with my business
Very excited to be joining Nicole and Megan at Nicole’s nails and beauty in Denton Burn from November!
You’ll still be seeing me for your usual care just in a new home for NSC!
For all new patients there will be 20% off my new patient consultation & facial as a little welcome gift for my new location !
Thank you so much for your continued support. It means the world, and I can’t wait to welcome you into the new clinic ✨
The front of your skincare promises a lot… but what does the ingredient list tell you? 🔍
The INCI list gives us clues about what’s inside, but it doesn’t reveal the exact percentages or how well a product will work for your skin.
An active ingredient sitting further down the list doesn’t automatically make it ineffective and a higher percentage doesn’t automatically make it better.
When I review your skincare, I look at the whole formula, your skin’s needs and how your products fit together.
Because choosing skincare should feel clear, not confusing. 🤍
Save this for your next skincare shop, and let me know which product you’d like me to decode next 👇
I will also have something coming next month which will massively help with this
Before I treat pigmentation, I need to understand what I’m actually looking at.
Is it a mark left after a breakout? Has it changed with sun exposure? What’s your current skincare routine like?
I’ll ask about your skin history, look at your skin barrier and talk through how you’re protecting your skin from the sun. If a mark needs medical assessment, we pause treatment and get it checked.
Only then do we make a plan. Because treating pigmentation isn’t about picking the strongest treatment it’s about choosing the right next step for your skin.

“Why does my pigmentation suddenly look worse after summer?’’
You might feel like those darker patches appeared overnight, but often they’ve become more noticeable after months of sun exposure.
UV light can stimulate pigment production and darken marks that were already there. And ‘pigmentation’ isn’t just one thing. Sun spots, post-acne marks and melasma can all need a different approach.
That’s why I wouldn’t jump straight to a peel. I want to assess your skin, understand what’s behind the pigmentation and look at your homecare and sun protection first.
Then we can build a plan that’s right for your skin, rather than guessing at one treatment.
If you’ve noticed changes after summer, book your New Patient Consultation & Facial and let’s take a proper look.
You might need a peel. But I wouldn’t know that just from a booking form.
If you’re dealing with pigmentation or texture, it’s tempting to pick the treatment that sounds right. But first, I need to understand your skin, your routine and what’s causing the concern.
A peel might be part of your plan. Or we might need to start by supporting your skin in a different way.
That’s why new patients begin with a consultation and facial. We assess first, then choose treatments with intention.

Your autumn skin reset starts here 🍂
Has summer left your skin looking a little different? You might be noticing more pigmentation, uneven texture or skin that feels less comfortable than usual.
October is the time to pause and assess what your skin actually needs. That could mean adjusting your homecare, supporting your skin barrier or planning treatments to address your concerns over time.
At Nurse Skin Collective, I start with a consultation so I can understand your skin, your goals and what’s realistic for you. From there, we’ll create a personalised plan for your skin health.
