The tournament teed off in the morning with players taking to the course for a day of competitive but enjoyable golf. Players demonstrated skill and determination throughout the tournament, with some of the strongest performances coming from golfers affiliated with Chinhoyi Golf Club. Golfers from Chegutu and Kadoma also put up strong performances, making for an exciting contest across the field and were awarded befitting accolades.

Beyond the competition, the tournament created an atmosphere of camaraderie and celebration, with participants and guests enjoying what was truly a cheer-filled day in support of the Mayor’s Cheer Fund.

The success of the tournament was made possible through the generous support of the individuals, companies and organisations that partnered with the Mayor’s Cheer Fund Committee. These included Golden Valley Mine, Ricmuk Hardware, Charles Stewart, RTG’s Kadoma Hotel and Conference Centre, Naichiko Hardware, CBZ Bank, Tiff Motors, Tambudze Meat, Spar Kadoma and The Mashonaland West Golf Association (MWGA).

The City of Kadoma categorically extends its gratitude to all the stakeholders who came on board and participated in the inaugural event. Their unwavering support will go a long way towards the fruition of the mobilisation of the much needed resources for the 2026 cheer fund.

The Kadoma Mayor’s Cheer Fund remains committed to bringing people together, raising support for those in need and spreading the spirit of cheer throughout the community.
