Winter can really take it’s toll on your hair, so having a really good hair care routine in place is vital even more so at this time of year! 💇🏼‍♀️

Here’s a few tips for looking after your precious locks:

❄️ Use a hair oil to nourish lengths and ends- Cold temperatures outside mixed with central heating really aren’t great for your hair; but by using a hair oil (or hair serum if you have finer hair), it will help create a protective barrier against the harsh elements.

❄️Have regular haircuts-
This is probably the most important one! Even if you are trying to grow your hair, it’s still necessary to have your hair trimmed regularly. This is to prevent any split ends from working their way up the hair; which would result in more length needing to be cut! I recommend having a haircut every 6 weeks to maintain your style or every 8 weeks if you are trying to grow your hair.

❄️Use a deep conditioning treatment-
Your regular conditioner just isn’t enough this time of year, especially if you have coloured hair! Use a good quality conditioning mask or treatment once a month to give your hair some TLC. If you want to step it up a notch, wrap your hair up and place a shower cap over it to trap the heat in. This will open up the cuticle and allow the treatment to pe*****te into the cortex.

❄️Use salon professional hair care products-
These have no nasties in like the products in the shops, which contain harsh sulphates and silicones. Again, this one is more important if you have colour on your hair, as the sulphates in high street shampoos will fade your colour much faster. I work this and retail the L’Oréal Professionnel hair care range, which has products suitable for all hair types! Any questions about these then please let me know ☺️

I definitely like to see the new year as a fresh start, and what better way to celebrate that than a hair transformation?! It really does do wonders for your confidence, however big or small the change you make to your hair is!! 💇🏼‍♀️💕✨💁🏼‍♀️
