STEPS FOR TATTOO REMOVAL

1. Before undergoing the laser tattoo removal procedure, A consultation will take place to assess your needs and create a treatment plan. A patch test will be completed and a consent form filled in.

2. A handheld device is then used to apply the laser to your skin. The laser will be passed over the tattoo multiple times, and you will likely feel a burning sensation. This laser targets the ink in your tattoo and breaks the pigment up into smaller pieces. These smaller pieces are then flushed by the body's natural immune response.

3. After the treatment, your skin will be red and swollen for a few hours and, like a new tattoo, will heal over the course of the following days.It's important to keep the area clean and moisturized to help promote healing, decrease the chance of scarring, and avoid the risk of infection.

4. Most people need at least 3-6 sessions to see significant results from tattoo removal. The number of sessions you'll need will depend on the size, colour, and location of your tattoo. Black ink is the easiest to target because it absorbs all of the light wavelengths, but if you are removing a coloured tattoo, the technician will need to use an alternative wavelength designed to target specific colours
