Tidy Tails Dog Grooming Salon

Good morning,
For those that know me, know I have to wear glasses to groom ( age related can’t see , hear or think properly anymore)!!😂
Well I bought a pair of reading googles to stop steaming up, hair in my eyes and blowing my false lashes off 💨
My kids said I look a right idiot ( i don’t care) and neither does Fudge.
He wasn’t bothered about my strange look he still gave me kisses!!🐶x

There has been a few comfort cuts this week. Lots of short back and sides and a few de-sheds, Ghost the husky was the most giving!!!😂
Last Sunday I dragged my two stinkers to the salon for a good scrub as they stank!!💩💩

Good morning,
Is anyone else having trouble with their iPhone. Every time I have an update something else goes wrong. Today it will not accept facial recognition, it already freezes and then shuts down when I’m in the middle of something.
I am useless at sorting any technology problems!! Does anyone have a “SIMPLE” suggestion please😂?

This week started with double trouble,Reggie and Rufus the pugs who always cause chaos! They had a de-shed groom and gave me loads of hair!!
There has been haircuts, nails and a**l glands ,everyone has been as good as gold.
Last dog of the week was Roscoe , a mature gentleman that came in for a comfort cut but found it all rather tiring and lay down on the table and went to sleep ( frightened me to death as I thought he had stopped breathing)
His mum came back in to check on him with me whilst he had a bath .
Funny though he came to life when I opened the treat jar!!

Let me introduce you to Scooby.
Scooby loves tennis balls, he is obsessed🎾
In the past he has stolen the one from the salon and his dad has had to post it back through the window. Well today Scooby was determined he was not giving up the ball so in the end I bathed the ball as well as him!!!!🛁
To add insult to injury , poor Scooby must have been dragged out of bed to come here without breakfast as his tummy rumbled through the whole of his groom. 😂🐶x

Good afternoon,
Oh my goodness it is hot🥵
It is now just after 2pm and I stepped outside the salon , I thought I had just got off a flight from somewhere tropical ,the heat hit me🔥
I thought it would be interesting to feel how hot the floor is on bare feet- let me tell you it was painful, I only put my foot out for the time it took me to take the photo and the sole of my foot was burning. Just imagine what a dogs feet would be like if they were walking on a concrete surface for even the shortest of time. I’m sure they would probably end up with blisters.

“ No dog has died from not getting a walk ,but many have from being taken out in the heat”.

Take care of your fury friends , ensure there is plenty of fresh water and shade.

The salon was much cooler this week, but I may have to reschedule some appointments next week if it does get as hot as being forecast.

Fact: A dog’s saliva can have a mild antibacterial effect as it contains enzymes; as such, dogs have a natural instinct to lick wounds.

Good afternoon,
I have just been scrolling and the above information came up on my phone.
My previous boxer died of cancer , it could have been a coincidence , but it does make you think whether the lovely candles and air fresheners I had been spraying ( as I was paranoid the house smelt of dog) could of contributed to her illness.
Just something else for us dog parents to worry about. 🐶x
