•Wet set•

I really like the texture of a wet-look set. It’s one of the few effects that works especially well on thick, dense lashes. It’s a great option when you want to add a little extra volume while still keeping the overall set light and airy✨

•Hybrid•

🗣️Client’s request: she wanted a fuller lash set, but not too dense and definitely not a classic set. She also wanted the lashes to be very short, with the minimum possible length, while still making her eyes look more open and defined.

💁🏻‍♀️What I suggested: a hybrid set with a natural lash mapping, using 5 mm as the shortest length and 8 mm as the maximum. I placed the longest length at the highest point to gently open up the eyes without making the set look too dramatic.

✨The result: short, soft and beautifully noticeable lashes that give the eyes a more open, lifted look while keeping everything natural and delicate. The perfect balance between fullness, short length and a natural effect.

So, here’s the answer ⬇️

I always put a drop of water over any leftover glue.
It’s a small step, but an important one for a lash artist’s safety. 💧

Cyanoacrylate glue reacts with moisture and cures much faster when exposed to water. This helps prevent the leftover drop from sitting open and continuing to release irritating vapours into the air.
So yes, a tiny drop of water can make a difference.

Make it a habit every time you finish working with your glue💗

My client prep looks like this:

1. Ventilate the room
2. Disinfect the workspace
3. Prepare the bed
4. Set up my lash station
5. Check my stock
6. Prepare the lashes
7. Apply anti-allergy gel if needed
8. Final check ✨

In a world of fast beauty,
I’m grateful to have a little corner where beauty
can be slow, quiet, and intentional💗

Because a lash appointment is never just about the lashes. It’s two hours where you get to pause the world for a little while.

Maybe that’s one of the most beautiful parts of my job✨

Taping the eyelid to the patch is actually a very useful technique. If the eye slightly opens during the appointment, this helps reduce the chance of glue fumes reaching the eye and also makes the lashes much easier to work with, as the completed lashes are gently moved out of the way.

There is one important thing to keep in mind, though: don’t use tape that’s too sticky. It can be difficult and uncomfortable to remove, especially on clients with very active eyelids. 👀
