PMU naturally fades over time, so keeping up with your top-ups helps maintain your colour, shape and overall result.

And I have a little heads-up for you… 👀

My PMU prices are increasing very soon.

So if you’re due your top-up, now is the time to get booked and secure my current pricing before the new prices come into effect.

Remember, your brows were an investment - and regular top-ups help you protect that investment and keep your results looking beautiful for longer. ✨

A little reminder too: after 2 years, new-client pricing may apply. If significant fading means two appointments are needed to recreate your brows, these may be charged as two appointments.

✨ Another little bit of exciting news I’ve been keeping to myself! ✨

This one is a different award to the one I shared recently, and I’ve been meaning to tell you all about it! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Back at the beginning of September, I found out that RieDefine PMU has been named a FINALIST in the Beauty Full Awards 2026! 🥹🦋 I’m honestly so proud to have my little business recognised alongside so many talented beauty professionals.

After building RieDefine through recommendations, returning clients and lots of love for what I do, it really does mean so much to have that recognised 🤍

The Grand Final is on Thursday 19th November, when the winners will be announced! 🏆✨

August, you’ve been a good one 🌱

A little look back at some of the moments that have made up my month at RieDefine… beautiful brows, lovely clients, plenty of chats, and a little bit of life outside the salon too.

I’m so grateful to every single person who has trusted me with their brows this month, recommended me to someone else, or simply supported my little business in some way.

It really does mean more than you know 🫶

SMPU journey 🩷

From old, saturated PMU… to a fresh, fluffy set of beautiful brows 🌱

This transformation was a process… and one that required patience, this journey was 8months but soooo worth it for the outcome!

Over time, repeated pigment implantation can leave behind warm undertones as existing pigment fades, saturates and becomes blurred.

So rather than simply trying to add more pigment on top, which isn’t always successful when there is already a high level of saturation and limited space for new pigment, we took a step back.

✨ 3 x removal sessions with Erase that Ink - Laser Tattoo & Hair Removal Devon
✨ Time allowed for the skin to heal, ensuring it was safe to carry out new SMPU
✨ A fresh new brow shape created
✨ 1st stage SMPU treatment
✨ 6 weeks healing
✨ 2nd stage SMPU to redefine and refine the hairstrokes needed for the touch-up

The goal was to create as much of a fresh canvas as possible, bring the bulb areas back in and create a brow that worked beautifully with her natural hair colour.

And look at the final result… 🥹

Natural. Fluffy. Crisp. Balanced.

We were both absolutely thrilled with the outcome.

And a little honesty from me… 🩷

This was actually my original work from almost 9years ago. Even as PMU artists, our own work can sometimes need attention further down the line. Pigments evolve, skin heals and changes, and techniques develop. What looked beautiful when it was originally created can look very different years later.

Every single PMU artist will experience this. It’s part of working with permanent makeup and part of the journey which we should all be informed of at the beginning.

For me, it’s about being honest about what the brows need now and having the confidence to take a step back when necessary, rather than simply adding more pigment.

This is why patience is key when working with existing PMU. Sometimes the best results come from taking your time, allowing the skin to heal and building the brows back carefully.

Brow perfection right there. ✨
