I set up Friendly Faces in 2015. After 15 years working as a registered paramedic in the Ambulance Service, I had seen for myself the growing need for professional practical support to help people continue living happily and safely in their own home. And so Friendly Faces was born – around my kitchen table while juggling with the needs of my 3-year old son… Today, I have a growing staff of support workers from both within and outside the industry. They are all hand-picked by me and carefully ‘paired up’ with clients allowing strong bonds of friendship and trust to build up over time. Looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our dedicated growing team, enabling people to live independently in their homes (no personal care). We recently attended the Chagford Wellbeing Forum where we met up with the team at Learn Devon. They provide adult learning opportunities to help develop skills, pursue passions and improve confidence and wellbeing. We thought this service might help anyone feeling lonely or isolated. Joining an art or craft class allows individuals to meet like minded and interesting people, whilst learning new skills and engaging in new experiences.
