A little honesty from me today 🤍

The last few days have been difficult with my mental health. Today, Dave and I went for a walk, hoping some time in nature would help, but I became overwhelmed and we needed to come home. I won’t go into too much detail.

This afternoon has been about resting and taking things gently.

I wanted to share because the lovely photographs, products and market days you see here are only part of life. Behind this little business is a person who has good days and difficult days too.

I love what we’re building with 100 Years Botanicals, and I’m grateful for it. That joy can exist alongside days when I need a little more care and kindness towards myself.

If today has been difficult for you too, you’re not alone. You don’t need to have something lovely to report every day, and needing rest isn’t a failure.

Thank you for being here, and thank you to Dave for being beside me today.

Seeing myself and Dave on a magazine cover feels quite surreal! This is such a proud moment for us, and we couldn’t wait to share it with you.

We’ve had quite a few new people join us here recently, so I thought I’d share the story behind our name. 🤎

100 Years Botanicals was inspired by my Nana Iris (pictured below). She used to say, “In a hundred years, it won’t matter.”

Those words have stayed with me. They remind me to worry a little less about the small things and make more room for what matters: the people we love, kindness, and moments of calm in an ordinary day.

That’s the feeling I hope to share through everything we make. If you’re new here, welcome — I’m Heather, and my husband is Dave, and I’m so glad you found us. 🌿 We’re a small family business that create all natural skincare and more recently bath and body products.
