Now that January blues are over and out, we thought we would share our own basic guide to self care and wellbeing.

Truth be told there are no rules to this. Self care and wellbeing are unique to everyone and should be personalised to our own attributes: what we enjoy, what we find relaxing, what makes us feel happy.

However, here is our little guide with some ideas to point you in the right direction. ANYTHING can class as mindfulness it does not always have to be sitting down and doing deep breathing (although this is great too). If you’re doing something and being solely focused on that thing without your thoughts fleeting … thats mindfulness👏🏼

The first picture is before any treatment with ourselves. As my client wanted to grow out her eyebrows we did minimal waxing - picture two. We advised our client of our aftercare and top tips.

The bottom picture are her results from a brow lamination just 6 weeks later🤩🤩. They speak for themselves✨

A LVL can last up to 6-8 if the correct after care and maintenance is followed and continues to take place. We want you to maximise the achieved results and these are our top tips to doing so:

- Don’t get your lashes wet 24/48 hours after your LVL.
- Avoid extreme heats 24/48 hours after (sauna’s, steam rooms, Hot bath, swimming & sweating in the gym).
- Don’t apply eye makeup 24/48 hours after your LVL.
- Every night apply a nourishing oil to the lashes and gently brush through.
- Brush your lashes when wet to set them into place with ease.
- Avoid waterproof mascara.
- Avoid picking or rubbing the lashes.
- Around 4 weeks book in for an eyelash tint to refreshen the LVL results.
- Book your next LVL appointment after 6-8 weeks to maintain a low maintenance no makeup, makeup look✨

An eyebrow lamination lasts for up to 6-8 weeks with the correct aftercare procedures taking place. Here are our top tips to keep your eyebrows looking fresh, helping you to maintain and maximise results in between your appointments:

- Avoid getting your eyebrows wet for 24/ 48 hours.
- Avoid extreme heats: sun beds, saunas, steam room, sweating at the gym (my guilt free excuse to miss the gym🤣).
- Avoid harsh perfumed products near the treated area and scrubbing your eyebrows - remove makeup gently.
- Style and set eyebrows when wet.
- Oil your eyebrows every night to nourish the hairs.
- Build these steps into your daily skin care routine so you don’t forget.
- Book in within the recommended time frame to maintain your results.
