Are you an analytically minded person with a passion for precision and a keen eye for detail? We’re looking for a Trainee Ventilation Ductwork Estimator to join our growing team and support the delivery of high quality, competitive tenders.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic engineering environment, contributing directly to the success of our bids and long-term client relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Reviewing enquiry documentation to fully understand project conditions and requirements.
• Logging all received documents and drawings in accordance with QA procedures.
• Quantifying, pricing and labour loading works from drawings or BoQs using our estimating systems.
• Sending enquiries to suppliers/subcontractors to source competitive quotations.
• Saving and maintaining all tender information and quotations within structured estimate files.
• Identifying commercial and technical risks or opportunities within tender scopes.
• Planning and ensuring timely completion of tender documents for submission.
• Producing tender finalisation documents and participating in tender review meetings.
• Preparing Tender Letters of Offer and, when required, contractor proposal documents.
• Working independently on smaller tenders and collaboratively within a team for larger bids.

What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications
• Time served apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline (desirable).
• HNC/ONC in engineering (advantageous).
Skills & Experience
• Excellent organisational and multitasking ability.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Clear, methodical and structured approach to work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
