We focus so much on what we’re putting on our skin, but what’s going on inside matters just as much.
If you’re constantly battling breakouts, excess oil, inflammation, dullness or skin that just never seems to settle, sometimes we need to look beyond the skincare routine.
A diet high in processed foods and sugar, regular alcohol, smoking, poor sleep, stress and not drinking enough water can all have an impact on inflammation, oil production and how well the skin heals and repairs itself.
That doesn’t mean you need to live on salads and never have a glass of w**e 😂 but if we’re trying to improve the skin, we have to look at the full picture.

We’re heading off to celebrate our wedding anniversary, CHILD FREE for the first time in a very, very, VERY long time 😂 It’s been that long since we’ve had a conversation just the two of us, we’re about to find out if we actually still like each other 😂
Absolutely delighted at the thought of lying by a pool, drinking margaritas and not having to check every 30 seconds that nobody’s drowning 😂🍹

September has well and truly commenced. And thankfully these two are absolutely loving the new school year. Not even putting a photo of myself with this because the current situation is not for public viewing!🙈😂
Eyebrows are overgrown, lashes are in dire need, roots are wild and I think my hair is now about 90% dry shampoo.
My Botox has well and truly worn off too. I’ve went from a smooth forehead to about 6 wrinkles overnight 😂 I am in DIRE need of a full transformation at this stage.
Does anyone else feel like September is just running from pillar to post all day long? School runs, work, uniforms, lunches, kids clubs, homework, making sure everyone is fed and trying to get everyone back into some sort of routine.
We’re only just back and already one of mine has picked up a cough so a full night’s sleep has gone out the window too😴💤
But mums really are amazing when you actually think about everything we manage to get done in a day. Even when we look like we’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards and are running on coffee and very little sleep, everyone else is somehow fed, clean and where they need to be.
Bolognese has been in the slow cooker, everyone’s fed, baths are about to commence, nobody has been killed yet and we’ve nearly made it through another day 😂
And tomorrow we’ll get up and do it all over again.
We really do deserve to make a bit of time for ourselves too because we are some women❤️
Anyway, no sales pitch or treatment chat from me. Currently in no position to be preaching self care😂 Just checking in on all the other mums…
