We began by focusing on controlling the active acne with a personalised medical-grade skincare programme, including prescription Obagi treatments targeted at acne. Alongside this, we incorporated Teoxane skincare to keep the skin as hydrated, balanced and healthy as possible without using ingredients that could aggravate inflammation or contribute to further breakouts. Maintaining a strong, healthy skin barrier is a vital part of successfully treating acne.

Once the acne was under control, we shifted our focus to improving the acne scarring.

For this stage, we combined SkinPen microneedling with exosomes. SkinPen creates thousands of precise microchannels within the skin, stimulating the body’s natural wound-healing response and encouraging the production of new collagen and elastin. By pairing this with exosomes, we can further enhance the skin’s regenerative response.

Purasomes contain powerful growth factors, peptides and signalling molecules that support cell communication, reduce inflammation, accelerate healing and optimise collagen remodelling, helping to improve skin texture and soften acne scarring more effectively.

These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do🥹🤍

Firstly, a huge thank you to this incredible patient for allowing us to share her journey.

When we first met at the consultation appointment, we spent a long time talking about how she had been feeling over the years. Like so many people, she told me she simply wanted to feel like herself again when she looked in the mirror. Not different. Not younger. Just refreshed, more confident, and to bring back a little of the sparkle she felt she had lost.

Together, we created a treatment plan focused on her main concerns: her eyes and her lower face.

Through careful assessment, we identified that changes in facial structure, volume loss, and a naturally retrusive lower face profile had contributed to a loss of support and balance over time. Our focus was on restoring harmony, improving facial proportions, strengthening the lower face, and creating a softer, lifted and more refreshed appearance around the eyes.

The result isn’t about changing who she is. It’s about helping her feel more like herself.

What makes me so happy is hearing how much more confident she feels, seeing her smile, and knowing she now feels comfortable enough to share her journey with others🤗🤭🥰
