I know there’s been a lot of recent headlines regarding “gel nails being banned” & just in general a lot of misleading articles & scaremongering going on around gel nails.
What is actually happening is an ingredient is being banned - TPO.
TPO (Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide)
is a photoinitiator - a molecule that absorbs UV or LED light - because of this it can sometimes be found as an ingredient in gel polishes.

I want to reassure clients the brand of gel polish I use is TPO free & meets all of the EU’s strict requirements.
My clients health & safety will never be compromised, this is why I invest in professional only products & continue to educate myself to provide the best care for my clients 🤍
