It is VERY important that you are aware of what a vascular occlusion looks and feels like and that you know of the signs such as:

🔴 Severe pain during and after treatment 😣

⚪️ Discolouration/ paleness around the treatment area

🟡 Small pustular spots around the area

⚫️ Darkness/ red patches of the skin around the area

Now, avoiding a VO is simply down to the avoidance of injecting into an artery/ vein but this cannot always be helped as they cannot always be seen so emergency kits are ALWAYS to hand!! 🆘

But with bruising.. not everyone’s anatomy is exactly the same but what I do know is the where abouts that arteries COULD be and highly aware of all pre, during and after cautions that relate to bruising, such as:

-Checking the area for visible blood vessels and avoid injecting here 💉

-I’m VERY gentle with the needle 😌

-Applying pressure to injection site if it’s bleeding 🩸

Things you can do also 👇

- Take arnica 1-2 weeks prior to treatment ☑️

- Avoid alcohol 🥃

- Avoid taking ibuprofen and other inflammatories 💊

- Avoid blood thinners I.e aspirin, fish oils etc 🐠

- Avoid multivitamins 👀
