1️⃣Pelvic asymmetries noted on assessment at the start of the session due to compensatory gait changes from an injury in the forehand.
2️⃣Plenty of work on mobilising the pelvic joints, soft tissue release, and laser therapy across the paraspinal muscles within our treatment session.
3️⃣Imbalances begin to balance out and correct postural alignment begins to take shape!

Before⬅️ Tommie was experiencing severe trigger points in his gluteals leading all the way up to his sacroiliac joint. These caused tight, restrictive and painful spasms throughout the muscle and limits effective utilisation of the hindquarters muscles and means a less stabilised pelvic region.

After➡️ Following physiotherapy Tommie now has supple, comfortable, pain free glutes meaning more comfortable movement and function of these muscles to support his pelvis.

Most rewarding part of my job is seeing the results of treatment to keep horse’s moving pain free 🙌

Kinesiology taping!!!🐴

Many owners ask me how k-taping works as it’s a different area of treatment compared to manual therapies and electrotherapies! But it has heaps of benefits of its own⬇️

-With a lifting effect between the skin and soft tissue layers pressure is removed from pain receptors to alleviate discomfort.
-Tape stimulates lymphatic drainage to reduce swelling and inflammation.
-Offers non-restrictive joint support improving stability and weight bearing.
-Activating muscles that need a help in hand to get the correct conditioning.
