I have been just TERRIBLE with posting lately 🤦🏽‍♀️ Apologies!

What are you all watching on't telly at the moment? We've binged quite a lot lately and now run out of things to watch. Any recommendations of must see films or series?

When clients visit me, I always educate them on the safe practices they should be seeing in salons and the dangers of DIY home gel kits. This information is not always received well and can be dismissed, and I'm sure some think I'm just saying it for my own benefit.

But this right here is why I bang on about it. I just really wish these home kits didn't exist tbh and got banned.
If you have a home gel kit, I urge you to get rid. You just don't know what chemicals are in them or the quantity. Some serious reactions and health issues can arise from these.
In some countries such as China, there are no limits to the quantities of allergen causing or carcinogenic chemicals within gel, and so you really are risking your health.

These kits from TikTok have been urgently recalled for containing high levels of forbidden carcinogenic chemicals. There has also been a recall for Melody Susie lamps that have been found to cause electric shocks.

The best thing you can do is ditch the home kits and visit a professional for gel and acrylic services. It's just not worth the risk.

There really is a lot more behind "doing nails" than people realise and a lot of science. Highly trained professionals use professional only products to keep you and your nails safe and healthy.

Life can be so busy and so stressful more often than not these days, so self care is becoming ever more important.

Make sure to book out some regular time for yourself, whether that's booking a treatment with me 😉 or finding a quiet space at home to practice some mindfulness, meditation 🧘🏻‍♀️ or breath work. Just some time to slow down, switch off the stress and try to unwind 💜

The weather has been extremely drying this past couple of weeks. Heating on full whack because of how cold it's been, isn't helping!

Make sure you increase the amount of times you apply cuticle oil and hand creams at the moment. There's been lots of crispy cuticles through the door lately 😉
