👋Hello and Welcome to my community!I’m Camy, the owner of Boho Beauty Barn.
Many of you know me through my holistic treatments, Japanese Head Spa, lymphatic drainage, hormonal balance facials and relaxation therapies. But what you may not know is that I’m also studying nutrition, women’s hormonal health and psychology.
My interest in all of this comes from a very personal place.
A few years ago I experienced a burnout, and although I’m much better today, I’m still on my own healing journey. I’ve learned that healing isn’t something we can rush. Even two years later, my body still needs support, rest and nervous system regulation.
That experience opened my eyes to how deeply stress can affect our hormones, energy levels, emotions, sleep and overall wellbeing. It also sparked a passion to understand the connection between the mind, body and nervous system.
I began studying nutrition because I wanted to be healthier for myself and my family and I want to share more .I started studying psychology because I wanted to understand why we think, feel and behave the way we do. The more I learn, the more fascinated I become by how everything is connected.
I don’t share these things because I have everything figured out. I share them because I’m learning too. Every day I take small steps to support my own wellbeing, and I hope that by sharing what I’m learning, I can help other women feel less alone and more empowered on their own journey.
My mission is to help women feel calmer, healthier, more confident and more connected to themselves, especially during the challenges of perimenopause, menopause and the busy seasons of life.
On my page I’ll be sharing what I’m learning about nutrition, hormones, nervous system regulation, psychology, mindset and simple self care practices that can make a real difference to how we feel.

✨Navigating Digestive Health During Menopause ✨
Ladies, did you know that menopausal changes can often bring tummy woes, like bloating, wind, indigestion -and yes, even weight gain? Those fluctuating hormones are to blame.

🫐🍠Sweet Potato
Blueberry Muffins
These buckwheat sweet potato muffins are great as a grab-and-go breakfast or as a mid day snack when you need a little something.
They are packed with fibre, antioxidants and good fats
Ingredients
🍃1 cup cooked purple sweet potato
🍃1/4 cup butter, ghee or coconut oil
🍃3/4 cup mashed banana or apple sauce
🍃2 tosp almond or peanut butter
🍃1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
🍃4 eggs
🍃2 tsp vanilla extract
🍃1.5 cups buckwheat oats/ porridge oats
🍃2 tsp baking powder
🍃dash of salt
🍃1 cup frozen blueberries or other berries
Recipe👇
1 Steam or bake purple sweet potato to cook until soft enough to poke a hole through, set aside to cool slightly
2 Preheat oven to 180 C
3 Add purple sweet potato to a bowl and add in ghee, mash together until combined
4 Mix in mashed banana, almond butter, maple syrup and vanilla
5 Whisk in eggs
6 Mix in dry ingredients until fully combined, then fold in blueberries
7 Butter muffin tin or place parchment muffin cups in tin, and add in ~1/3 cup batter in each
8 Bake muffins for 20-25 minutes
9 Remove from oven and let cool
10 Remove from tin and enjoy!
