Let’s talk warts! 👋

They’re an absolute pain in the ar*e to get rid of, aren’t they? 😅

My lovely client came to me after struggling with warts on both fingers for over a year. She’d tried all sorts to get rid of them, but nothing had worked. 😔

For her treatment, we only treated the wart on one side of her finger (top left photo). A lot of people are surprised by this, but with diathermy, treating one wart can help stimulate your immune system to recognise the virus and fight it, meaning you don’t always need to treat every single wart.

Just look at these results after one session! 🤩 No freezing kits or over-the-counter wart treatments had managed to make a difference like this.

My client came back today for her review, and I honestly couldn’t see any wart tissue left at all. Even better, the wart had started to affect and spread under her nail before treatment, so seeing such healthy-looking fingers just 6 weeks later was amazing. We were both absolutely over the moon! 🪄🎉

Early Detection Matters 💙

Recently, a client visited me for a mole assessment after I noticed a lesion that didn’t look quite right when she came in for cherry angioma removal.

Using Map My Mole (advanced mole screening service), we captured both clinical and dermoscopic images, which were reviewed by a dermatologist within an hour. The lesion displayed features that warranted further investigation, and thanks to the screening process, an urgent Two-Week Wait referral was made directly to the hospital.

Following this referral, the lesion was promptly removed at hospital, ensuring that the appropriate steps were taken without delay.

This case highlights exactly why regular skin checks and early assessment are so important. Many skin changes can be completely harmless, but some require prompt medical attention. Identifying concerns early helps ensure the right action is taken as quickly as possible.
