How many distasteful & uncaptured moments have you had? Some you can’t even mask anymore because they are right there in 4k and society now defines you by those circumstances.
This new season I have embarked on, living alone, attending varsity campus, once abandoned due to the use of a wheelchair & crutches because it was so not going to be the same, has shown me that I am constantly becoming.
Having been tired of people not looking beyond my circumstances, as an entry to the competition Eylure I created a lash that is a statement piece. ‘I AM …’ lash is fierce, fluffy & beautiful taking away the you that people see, portraying your strength. Imagine someone has a negative label for you in relation to your circumstance(s), but they look at you and see you wearing these beautiful lashes. Their thoughts divert to ‘girl you are fierce’. This is not just another lash but it carries each individual’s story that will remind people they are more than their circumstance(s).
It is a statement.
‘I AM …’ lash gives you the chance to name my lash in your possession the way you see fit opposing your story’s status quo. I call mine unstoppable.
‘I AM unstoppable’.
I AM not my circumstances but it is a story I get to tell.

Lack of representation, accessibility, inclusive and diversity has these impacts. And just like a lot of us, perhaps even you reading this, we have experienced mental health issues at some point in our lives. To have an organisation such as work with people to tackle something so delicate yet so detrimental to our mental state is a blessing as we are aware ‘as a man thinketh, so is he’.
