Here’s to my first day of being 42 🎂 And a little truth about me…

Behind the confident front and the person people see on the outside, there’s still a part of me that feels afraid of getting older, but not necessarily in the way you might think.

I speak openly with my clients about the anxiety I feel around death, and how it can sometimes consume me. Deep, I know. But since becoming a Mum, it’s something that weighs on my mind far more heavily than the thought of gaining wrinkles or seeing my skin change.

Don’t get me wrong, I still catch glimpses of myself in the mirror and sometimes struggle with the changes that come with age. And yes, I’ll continue to have treatments that help me feel like the best version of myself. But this is also a little reminder to myself that ageing isn’t something we get to choose, it's something we get to cherish!

So here’s to another year older, another year wiser, and another year of wondering where the last year went, forgetting why I walked into a room, questioning what I was about to say halfway through a sentence, and realising my memory might need a little more TLC than my skin does 😂

So cheers to chapter 42 🥂 I'll be back to work Wednesday 😘
